A/n: greetings ladies and gentlemen, not much to say except enjoy this chapter

Some two days had passed since they arrived in Atlas, The group spent most of that time going through protocol with the Ace ops in preparation for the missions that they would be on in the coming weeks. They were also allowed to request upgrades for their weapons and combat outfits which many were definitely excited for. The team leaders plus Qrow and Saeth now found themselves in a war room with clover who was discussing the day's mission

Clover: Alright gather around, our mission today is to secure the launch site for the amity communications tower, the designated area is an abandoned dust mine. Since it's closer the grimm have moved in, the good news is that all that untouched dust is still down there too, the scientist are saying that their gonna need it for the first phase of the launch. Atlas military huntsman are already hard at work clearing out the surrounding tundra but recon has identified a powerful geist that's managed to evade destruction and take several lives... After we increased our numbers, the geist was smart enough to retreat into it's mind, meaning it's old and extremely dangerous.

Clover brings up a projection of the geist who was using several rocks of ice to create its body, ruby lets out a short gasp as she analyzes the photo.

Clover: This is our target.

Clover then changes the projection to a holographic schematic of the mine giving the team leaders a rough layout of the area.

Clover: The mine was a labyrinth back in the day, there's all sorts of tunnels and chambers the geist can move between so if we're gonna kill this thing, we're gonna have to split up and corner it. General ironwood say that you kids have seen your fair share of combat, i trust that man with my life, so tomorrow i'll be trusting you all too.

Clover turns off the projection and looks at everyone.

Clover: The upgrades you requested from Dr. Polendina are ready for you and your teams to pick up, as soon as you guys are ready meet us at the landing bay for take-off

Everyone nods in agreement before leaving the war room, the leaders gather their team and make their way to Pietro's workshop to get their weapons, he greets them warmly and lets them inside.

Pietro: Apologies for the mess and for holding onto your weapons for so long, the upgrades you requested were uhh... well they were more than I anticipated.

Pietro lead them to several lockers with briefcases stored inside.

Pietro: Your weapons and armour should be as requested but I also took the liberty of reviewing your combat footage from the vytal festival tournament, there's some enhancements i'd like to suggest but for now these should serve you well enough.

One by one the students start opening up their briefcases, reactions varied from excitement to being slightly nervous but ultimately everyone was satisfied with their new wardrobe and upgrades to their weapons. Shortly after the students were back in their dorms trying on their new outfits and clothes. In team arcc's room, Coda smiled as he examined his upgraded gauntlets before cracking his knuckles while smirking in the mirror, Commando poses next to him with his hammer on his shoulders, Meanwhile rick twirled his revolver before putting it in his holster, while adam sat on his bed readjusting his repaired prosthetic while holding his reforged ax in his other hand, he grips it tightly before looking at his teammates and signalling for them that he was ready. In team Jnpr's room, Nora took several pictures of her new outfit while posing with her hammer, Ren shakes his head as he adjusts his clothes, Pyrrha smiles as she look at her teammates before going back to putting on her upgraded armour, she gets up and stretches before grabbing his weapons plus Aqua's blade, Jaune takes a glance at aqua at Aqua's blade and frowns, he grabs a piece of his hair and thinks about changing up his look. In keith's dorm, Six walks back in after leaving to change, Her new outfit was better suited for the cold weather and her weapon was now painted in a white camo, Keith gave a small nod while he finished putting on his new outfit, he looked at the mirror before putting on his eyepatch. Neo walked up next to him and leaned on him while she posed, Oscar giggled to himself before he looks down at his cane with a small frown, keith looks at him and gives him a reassuring smiles which leaves oscar feeling a bit better. In team rwby's dorm Yang adjusted her upgraded prosthetic and smiled, she grabbed her wedding ring and placed it on finger before pumping her fist, Ruby put on her new outfit and seemed pretty happy with the new look, Weiss did a small twirl in her new attire and she gave a prideful smirk while looking in the mirror, Next to her stood blake who examined her hair with a somewhat dissatisfied look.
