Cold Shoulder

Alaska took a cold shower inside in his room, he took a deep breath as he bowed his head letting the water fall onto him, he steps out the shower and stares at himself in the mirror, he rubs his rough beard but he ultimately decides to keep it, he grabs his prosthetic and puts it on looking at himself once again, he sighs as he gets dressed and gets out the bathroom. He sits down at a dining table facing a window that overlooks the kingdom. After a few minutes of silence, he hears a knock at the door. He expected clover or trent but when he opened the door he was met with the face of his father Nigel Alaska.

Alaska: Father...

Nigel: William, I came here to evaluate your progress in finding out what ironwood's doing. I know i said i wouldn't be here for another few weeks but ironwood has continued to overstep his authority and is ordering us to retreat any troops and terminate any contracts

Alaska nods and lets his father instead, he starts to prepare some tea and leaves a kettle on the stove before sitting table at the table with his father.

Alaska: Ironwood, he keeps us in the dark unless it's a large plan... He's planning to keep up the embargo and i assume he's withdrawing your contracts to keep himself as the only one protecting the city.

Nigel: So he's trying to undermine our work... That snake!

Alaska: He's collecting dust to build up more of his robots, i assume to have an automated task force... I'm not sure if he's going to use any plans that we've designed...

Nigel: He will not, me and jacques are making sure of it... Ironwood will not be costing us money for whatever stupid plans he's conjured up in his tin head... Jacuqes is running for council, So my son anything dirt you can find on Ironwood will certainly help his position as well as the position for our business.

Alaska nods as he gets up to grab the kettle, He prepares some tea bags in the mug before pouring the hot water in, He stirs it for a bit before handing one of the mugs to his father.

Alaska: I'm trying my best to find anything on him, but he clearly keeps himself shut down to avoid anything from getting leaked to the public.

Nigel: He made you an Ace op did he not? The closest people in the kingdom to him, so i suggest you start digging further before-

Alaska: Before what father? What could you do to me? I'm out here risking my life and the family company getting dirt on the atlas military while you sit in your office, commanding your soldiers and scheming with jacques, I know what i'm doing and if it takes a bit longer to get this information then so be it, your going to get it anyways. I'm doing my best to keep our image high because if i get caught, your shut down and i'm put to death, so tread carefully.

Nigel scoffs as he slaps the tea off the table shattering the mug, he gets up and pokes alaska in the chest but before he could do it again, he grabs his wrist and glares at him.

Nigel: You little-

Alaska: Patience is key father, i assure you that everything will go in your favour but i recommend you stay off my ass and don't interfere until i have information that you might need

Nigel pulls his hand away and seemed somewhat satisfied, he dusts himself off before he walks to the door.

Nigel: I suggest you get something soon, i may be lenient to give you time but the election for the council starts soon...

Alaska walks to the door and he opens it for his father, Nigel exits leaving Alaska to sigh to himself after his shuts the door, He grabs his other mug and throws it at the wall, a piece of ceramic bounces off and cuts his face causing him to wince. He wipes the blood off with a napkin, he goes to the bathroom and starts washing his face, he places a band-aid on it, suddenly his scroll gets a message, he goes back out and grabs his scroll and he says a message from Winter telling him that they arrived from mantle with Keith but she wasn't there because of other matters. He smiles to himself before turning off the scroll and throwing himself on his bed, leaving the broken glass and spilt tea everywhere in his room.
