Oscar, Keith and Qrow sat in the living room drinking tea, Ozpin had assumed control of Oscar so they could all have their conversation.

Qrow: Things aren't looking good Oz...

Ozpin chuckles as he sips his tea

Ozpin: Ever the optimist... While our current predicament isn't "Ideal" we can all agree that it could be much worse

Keith: I think we all fear that it's gonna get MUCH worse

Ozpin: Keith, Your forget that humanity is a resilience force

Qrow: Oz, pro huntsman like that don't just bite it all at once, salem's powerful and it seems that her reach grows greater everyday, what does that say about humanity

Keith: It's the same as it's always been, they're isn't rest for the wicked and they never truly disappear but the ones who actually live for the good of remnant can always keep them at bay

Ruby: Umm... Excuse me

Qrow, Keith and Ozpin look over at Ruby who was sheepishly standing in the back ready to ask a question

Ozpin: Ah Ms.Rose, join us. We were just about to gather everyone to discuss our next steps

Ruby: Oh Okay

Ruby walks over to the couch to sit with keith but she looks back at Qrow and Ozpin

Qrow: Something on your mind kiddo?

Ruby: Well if it's okay to ask...

Qrow: Of course

Ruby: Well we've been talking about the relic at Haven, and uh the spring maiden but what about the fall maiden?

Ozpin/Keith: Cinder...

Ruby: Yeah... Well does that mean Salem has the beacon relic?

Qrow, Keith and Ozpin all look at each other before looking back at Ozpin

Ozpin: Very astute Ms.Rose, i was wondering who would be the first to ask, But no. It's true the relic at Haven is very much at risk and for now that should main our primary focus but let's just say that i made finding the relic a bit more challenging then the rest

Ruby: Oh, well that's good to hear

Ozpin: It is but let's not forget the challenges that are still before us

Ruby nods

Ozpin: Well is there anything else we can help you with

Ruby: Well i did have one more questions

Keith: No Oz's cane is not a relic ruby

Ruby: I have no more questions!

They all share a quick laugh before quieting down

Ozpin: Well yes this cane is precious to me, It is also just that precious to ME, although i can firmly admit that it still has a few tricks up its sleeve, being a relic is not one of them. Now why don't you run and get the other students

Before anyone can do anything, Qrow's scroll rings. He looks at the caller id and sees that Saeth was calling him, He answers his phone and begins talking

Qrow: Hello... Yeah we'll be there...

Ruby: Who was it?

Qrow: Saeth, says that Leo found a break through with the council, thinks he might be able to get together a small raiding party of huntsman for the bandits but Saeth says it doesn't seem legit and that we should be careful
