A/n: I've written more chapters of this in a week than i have in the last few months, if i wasn't going through something i'd be overjoyed anyway i hope you enjoy the chapter because it's the setup for one of my favorite scenes that i've been waiting forever to right

*Argus*

Cordovin walked through the water in her mech, Commando swung the ship back around coming towards the cliff side where the other's watched with worry plastered all over their faces.

Commando: "Alright guys, if you have any idea on how to take this thing down now would be a good time."

Weiss: "You guys aren't seriously going to fight that robot right?"

Keith: We've don't got a choice... If we're gonna get to atlas we're gonna have to take this thing down, besides we've fought bigger things before.

Commando: "Yeah but none them were an angry old lady in a couple hundred tons of steel"

Ruby stood on the cliffside watching cordovin's mech slowly walking, she looks around at everyone else before looking back at the ship

Ruby: I've got a plan, commando circle back around and get weiss down here

Commando: "Roger that"

Cordovin: You little spider-roaches thought you could sneak your way to atlas! Well let's see how your resolve works at against the might of the atlesian military.

Cordovin points her cannon towards the ship, a missile launcher comes out from the wrist and see fires a rocket straight at the ship but it explodes before hitting it, Cordovin was confused and she looked over at the cliffside to see ruby aiming crescent rose with a determined look on her face

Cordovin: So be it!

Cordvin aims her cannon towards the cliffside, the cannon spins it's dust loaded cylinders, Weiss watches from the ship and turns to commando.

Weiss: Dive!

Commando nods and immediately dives down opening the side door to the ship where weiss jumps out and uses her dust to create a rock in front of them, Cordovin's shot hits and ice forms on the outside of the wall.

Keith: Alright everyone take a good look at that thing, it's not meant to fight smaller targets, if we divide and conquer we can distract her long enough to actually get some good hits in and figure out how to take it down

Keith turns to neo who was standing by the door of the ship with Six.

Keith: Neo, mask the ship and keep it out of harm's way.

Oscar steps in

Oscar: I'll be better help up there and look for a weakness!

Qrow steps forward with a smug look on his face.

Qrow: He's not the only one that can get a bird's eye view.

Saeth looks over at his son before walking up and placing an hand on his shoulder.

Saeth: What do you need me to do?

Keith: Just stay out of harms way, get on the ship, We'll take care of this.

Saeth nods before patting his son on the shoulder.

Saeth: Be careful.

Keith: No promises... Now everyone get ready, shit's about to get waving.

Weiss: Wait ! Wait! Ruby said she needed me down here? What am i supposed to do?

Ruby smiles nervously while holding her weapon, Weiss and Keith both give her a puzzled look trying to figure out what she meant. Meanwhile Cordovin watched from the mech, she waited carefully for the students to come out of cover but what she didn't expect was the ship to fly out from behind the wall before disappearing, and team jnpr plus rick running down the cliffside. Qrow flew into the air with Ruby who had used weiss to boost her up into the sky. Cordovin aimed her cannon at ruby as she landed onto a tree branch, Cordovin fired missiles at her and ruby used her semblance to dodge them and dived straight towards the mech, she jumped onto the missiles before falling down towards the water where weiss had started freezing it, ruby landed and the two jumped from platform to platform that weiss had created, Cordovin was ready to fire but she got hit with grenades, she turned over towards the cliff side where she saw the other's shooting at them.
