“ Let me go..”
I said as the guards drag me inside the palace.
I stop short when I saw his Majesty, My father, in front of me. He had this serious expression that made me nervous.Finally, the guards let go of me.
“D-dad” sambit ko, shoot my heart is beating so fast.
“I trusted you Crown Princess, Why would you do this such thing behind my back?” nakayuko lang ako habang pinapakinggan siya.
“ I’m sorry”I don’t understand why am I saying those words.
“ why are you doing this, I forbid you to show your face in the Village because of a reason..”panenermon nito sa akin.
“ For what reason?”I sarcasticlly said in my mind, but for some reason I said it out loud. Huli na upang mapigilan ang aking sarili dahil nasabi ko na ang mga katagang iyon.
“Don’t. talk…. to me like that ” ma-autoridad nitong Sambit
Napayuko ako sa bigla sa kaniyang reaksyon.
“ This leave me with no choice, the Village Banquet will not push through” Naaangat ako ng tingin sa sinabi niyang iyon. But before I could talk, someone did.

“ that can’t be..” my stepmom walks towards us and stood beside my Dad.
Hinarap nito ang hari. “Your Majesty, the preparations are already done..”
Pagpapatuloy nito.
Nagsalubong ang dalawa kong kilay.
“Youre being unfair your majesty” sambit ni stepmom.
Pero hindi sumagot si dad at hinayaan lang na magpatuloy ito.
“ I am sure the Crown Princess also have her reasons for doing all this.”
‘bakit ba nakekealam siya?’
“ Selfish reasons?” tanong ni dad na ngpalingon sa akin.
‘seriously?’
“ I’m sure its not, right Ava?” pagkatapos nun ay tinignan ako ng queen. I ignore her. I stare at his Majesty coldly.
“ youre right your majesty, it is indeed for a selfish reason.”
I could see my stepmom smirking from my pheriperal view. Agad ko itong tinignan at tila hindi siya nakangisi knina. Pagaalala lang ang makikita sa kaniyang mukha.
Namalikmata nga ba ako? O sadyang magaling lang siyang magtago?
“ Still Your Majesty, all the preparations have been done. We can’t cancel the banquet now..”
‘It seems that what she wants to convey is not to involve the gathering just because of the carelessness and selfishness of the Crown Princess.’
I secretly glaring at her.
The king let out a sharp sigh before leaving us. Sumunod ang kaniyang mga knight.
Akmang maglalakad na rin ako paalis, nang magsalita ang aking stepmom.
“ Are you alright?”she said in a soft voice.
Hinarap ko siya ng may galit.
“ Remember your place. And don’t ever call me that.”
Nakita ko ang gulat sa kaniyang mga mata habang nakatingin sa aking mga mata. Agad akong umiwas ng tingin at nakita ang aking repleksyon sa salamin ng bintana na nasa hallway.
