Chapter 64

Princess Ava's POV'

I allowed myself to drown in my thoughts while drinking. Not alcohol nor wine. I now prefer juice… To avoid awkward situations ...
They held a celebration for my coronation. In the event hall of the palace. All have been invited. I sat on a table while observing my surroundings.

Parang kahapon lang na puro mga nasa mataas nakatungkulan ang puwedng dumalo.

Now all of the nymphs are invited. The place is pack, with glamorous atmosphere.
I was lost in in my thought when someone approach my table.

“Its been a while your highness… can we join you?” Cliff said that caught my attention.

Naglakad  papalapit sa amin si Calynn. Cliff wearing his blue Royal attire while Calynn wore a luxurious formal dress that bring out the color of her fair skin.

Nagkamustahan at nagkuwentuhan kaming tatlo hangang sa May muling lumapit. Sina Zane at Aillard, as usual Zane is wearing his black formal attire while Aillard wore a sky blue Royal clothing. The four of them talk.

Napapansin kong madalas na silang magkakasama. Looks like the Royal Competition has indeed brought of us together.

“ Remember when we first meet, it felt so awkward…” Calynn said chuckled, nagpatuloy ito sa pagkukuwento. Patuloy lang silang nagkukuwentuhan ng mga kaganapan sa mga nakaraang buwan.

Nakikitawa at nakikisali nalang ako minsan sa pinaguusapan nila. I can’t focus to just chatting with them, dahil patuloy ako sa paglingon sa paligid. Wondering if he will show up.

“He’s no gonna make it..” Cliff whispered beside me, without anyone noticing.
I just sigh secretly.

Pinilit ko nalang na ituon ang aking pansin sa pakikipag-usap sa apat. Pansin kong mas naging mas malapit sila. Genuine smile plaster on my face, as I observed them enjoying each other’s company.

Tila magkakaibigan na ngayon lang muling nagkasama sa mahabang panahon. Sa oras na ito ramdam ko na hindi hadlang ang katayuan nila sa buhay upang mas makilala nila ang isa’t-isa.

I smiled as I once again observed them. I didn’t know Calynn could be this Chatty. Don’t get me wrong, it’s just that I notice her comfortable now.

Cliff just listen and respond a little, hindi parin nawawala ang pagiging mahinhin nito sa paraan niya ng pagsasalita.
I know Zane is already comfortable talking to the two. But Aillard, I’m surprised that he joined us. At first Aillard just stayed quiet, but as time goes by nakikisali narin siya sa pinag-uusapan naming apat.

Halos matagal din kaming nakapag-usap nang mapansin naming inaantok na si Calynn at mukhang marami na siyang nainom. Zane and Cliff accompany her, Cliff insisted na ihatid silang dalawa pauwi ng Dark Sapphire kahit pa na sinabi ni Zane na kaya na niyang ihatid si Calynn.
Zane had no choice by to gave in. Dahil mapilit nga naman ang kasintahan ng kaniyang kaibigan.

While Aillard and I was left, ilang minuto ring walang nagsalita sa aming dalawa. Tanging ang mga pag-uusap ng mga bisita at ang pagtugtog ng musika ang naririnig.

We exchanged awkward gaze. I Chuckled to the way we act around each other.

“ how are you?” I said after. ewan ko ba kung bakit yan salitang lumabas sa aking bibig.

“ Feels like a burden pulled out from my back.” A smile curved on his lips. He gave a little nood.

“I can now finally focus on running my kingdom.” He said out of nowhere between our conversation.
