HARRY AND I WALK THROUGH THE CASTLE GROUNDS. "Have you ever played Quidditch?" Harry asks me and I shake my head. "No, I've never even been on a broom." Harry looks at me with wide eyes. "You've never been on a broom?" He asks, in shock and I chuckle.
"My mother was, well, extremely overprotective." He nods his head. "What about your father? If you don't mind me asking?" He asks me. "I never met him. I have no idea who he is. My mum never spoke of him." We walk through the courtyard. "What is she like?" My mind freezes and I keep walking.
"She was, power hungry. Obsessed with me becoming stronger than her. She was a metemorphmagus like me, and she made me-she made me..." I cut myself off and clear my throat. "She used the imperio curse on me and turned me into an Animagus when I was four." I feel Harry's gaze on me intensify.
"I never transform into it. I just, don't want to be reminded of what she did to me. But she's gone now." We walk onto the large bridge and I lean onto the railings. "What happened to her?" He asks me softly and my mind is overwhelmed with memories. My hair colour changes and I feel my skin flicker over with colour, ghostly white.
My fearful dark purple hair grows, trying to hide me away. Harry reaches a hand out and it takes mine gently. My skin flickers back over to its normal colour and my hair shrinks and morphs back to its collarbone length and jet black colour.
"She died."
I whisper it out before sucking all of my feelings back in.
'No daughter of mine will be a crybaby.'
"Before school. She died." Harry interlocks our fingers and I look at him. I give him a small smile. "It's okay. I've gotten over it." I suck on my teeth. "What does it look like? Your Animagus form?" I sigh slightly. I have to use it at some point. "I might as well show you."
I move my hand back gently and clear my mind. My body shrinks and morphs into that of a black dog. I sit myself down and extend my paw to Harry. He crouches down and shakes it. He backs away and I turn back into a human. "That's so cool." He tells me and I smile.
"Thanks. And please, don't tell anyone." Professor Lupin walks past us, heading into the woods. Did he see me? I hope he didn't. Harry looks at him and takes my hand, pulling me along as he goes after him. "Professor, may I speak to you?" He asks him and Lupin stops walking. "Of course, join me for a walk." Harry nods and we follow after Lupin.
"I'm sorry to hear about your broomstick." Lupin tells Harry and we step through some plants. "Is there no chance of fixing it?" He asks Harry. "No." Harry tells him. "Professor, why do Dementors affect me so...? I mean, more than everyone else?" We stop walking.
"Listen. The Dementors are the foulest creatures to walk this earth. They feed in every good feeling, every happy memory. Until a person's left with absolutely nothing but his worst experiences. You are not weak, Harry." Lupin walks ahead of us.
"Dementors affect you most because there are the horrors in your past. Horrors your classmates can scarcely imagine. You have nothing to be ashamed of." Harry walks up to Lupin and I awkwardly twist my mother's silver ring around my finger.
"I'm scared, Professor." Harry tells him. "I'd consider you a fool if you weren't." Lupin stops beside a tree. "I need to know how to fight them. You could teach me. And maybe Jupiter could help. You both made that dementor on the train go away." I perk up at my name.
"There was only one that night." Lupin tells him. "But you made it go away." I stare out at the island filled with trees opposite us. "I don't pretend to be an expert, Harry. But as the dementors seem to have developed a particular interest in you, perhaps I should teach you. But after the holidays." Harry's owl Hedwig lands on a piece of wood and Harry strokes her before she flies away.
"For now, I need to rest. Besides, you and Jupiter should continue your walk."

I watch as everyone leaves for Hogsmeade. "Do you want me to give you a fake permission slip?" I ask Harry and he looks at me. "Wha- No," he chuckles out. "We should do something. Instead of people watching." Harry looks down before looking back at me.
"I know what we can do." He takes my hand and we head back into the Gryffindor common room. "What are you doing?" I ask him and we walk up the steps before they split off in two. "I want to try something." I say and my skin flickers over and my face turns into Harry's.
"That's creepy." He says and I chuckle. "Yes, but it's the only way to get into the boys dormitory." Harry nods his head in realisation and directs me to his dorm. He opens the door and my skin turns back to mine. "What is that?" I ask and he grabs a cloak. He wraps it around his body and vanishes.
"No way! You have an invisibility cloak!" Harry chuckles before taking it off.
"We can go to Hogsmeade now."
