THE DARK WOODS SURROUND ME AS I WALK DEEPER INTO THE FORBIDDEN FORREST. I watch my step as I carefully walk over some roots on the ground. "Hagrid, why can't you just tell us?" Harry asks as he follows behind the half-giant.
I can hear rumbling around me before spotting the Centaurs galloping towards something in the woods. "I've never seen the centaurs so riled." Hagrid announces before glancing back at us. "And they're dangerous at the best of times." He sighs and the four of us make our way safely to stand beside him.
"The Ministry restricts their territory much more, they're gonna have a full uprising in their hands." I move my eyes to look over at the place the centaurs were previously. "Hagrid, what's going on?" I ask and look back towards him.
"I'm sorry to be so mysterious, you four. I-I wouldn't be bothering you at all with it, but... with Dumbledore gone... I'll likely be getting the sack any day now. And I just couldn't leave without telling someone about him." Footsteps approach us and snap the small sticks on the ground.
A Giant makes its way towards us, revealing itself from behind the large trees. "Grawpy?" Hagrid calls out and the giant faces away from us. Hagrid awkwardly glances back at us before looking back at the giant.
"Down here, you great buffoon." The giant turns around and I automatically take a step back, being mindful of his height over my own, and it's possible unawareness of my presence. He claps his hands together to catch a bird but misses. The four of us duck instantly.
"Grawpy, I brought you some company." Hagrid says and the giant rushes towards us. The four of us stagger backwards and the Giant stops, turning around to look at the rope which ties him to a tree. "I couldn't just leave him, he's my brother." Hagrid says to us and Ron gasps.
"Blimey." Ron gasps out. "Well, half-brother, really." Hagrid says and motions us to step back a bit. "He's completely harmless, just like I said. Little high-spirited, is all." Hermione falls backwards and Grawpy grabs her and lifts her into the air. "Grawpy, that is not polite!" Hagrid calls out and Grawpy holds Hermione opposite him.
Ron rushes at the giant and hits him with a log. I rub my eyebrows before growing my body to match Grawpy's height. I walk towards him, being careful to not stand on Harry or Ron and hold my hand out with a kind look on my face. "Grawpy, may I have Hermione?" He looks at me, then at my hand, before slowly giving me Hermione.
Harry and Ron make way for me and I place Hermione beside them before shrinking back to my normal height. I look back at the giant, giving him a kind smile. "I think you've got an admirer." Harry says to Hermione before leaning towards me. "You never cease to amaze me with your ability." I smile slightly at his words.
"You just stay away from her, all right?" Ron calls out to the giant. Grawpy turns back around with something in his hand. He dings the bell on something I lean towards Harry. "What's that?" I ask him, looking at the object. He glances at me before looking at Grawpy who hands the large bar to Hermione.
"The handle of a bike. It's something Muggles can use for transportation." I hum at his words and watch as Hermione dings the bell on the bike handle. "He gets his own food and all." Hagrid calls out and Grawpy dings the bell on his matching bike handle.
"It's company he'll be needing when I'm gone." Grawpy thumps to the ground as he sits down. Hagrid takes in a breath. "You will look after him, won't you?" He asks us and I nod my head. "I'm the only family he's got." Hermione and Grawpy ding the bell at each other.

I sit in the corner of Snape's classroom, trying to fall asleep as I attempt to keep up a constant state of Mentisgardium. The spell has been working. It's been protecting my mind from Theodora, but I must work on it. I must make it perfect.
I lay my head on my arms and close my eyes, tuning out Snape and Harry. I can feel myself slipping away into a sleep. I force up a large shield around my mind and continue the spell even after I slip into unconsciousness.
In a few moments, I'm awoken to yelling and Snape orders Harry to leave. I yawn and push myself up, following after Harry with confusion swimming through me.
