WEDDINGS AREN'T MY THING. A group of people dancing and acting all happy... it's giving me a headache. But I appreciate it, the happiness. Because it's hard to find it in this war. I lost all forms of happiness the moment I sold myself to fulfilling the plan. A plan I created, a plan which is my fault.
"Don't you look stunning." I glance up at George who looks down at me with a slight smirk. My eyes move to his ear where a fork remains jammed in it. "Thank you. But I'd say you look better, that fork really makes your outfit." He cracks a chuckle at my words.
"It would be a shame to keep standing alone when you look as pretty as that." I reach up and gently pull the fork from his bandaged ear. I flick my wrist and the fork vanishes. "That didn't hurt, did it?" I question and he chuckles, shaking his head. "Can't feel a thing." He says to me and holds out his hand.
"Want to dance?" I frown at his words slightly. To be honest, I thought he was just teasing. "Why would you want to dance with me George? After all I've done?" The ginger looks down at me, gently.
"Jupe, you're not a monster. You're a child. Sixteen years old. I trust you. I trust what you've done has been for the sake of the Order. And I know that whatever you need to do, is what's meant to happen. I know you would never betray Harry, not after nearly dying for him countless times."
I swallow at his words, blinking my eyes. I let out a shaky breath before smiling slightly, glancing down at the glove which covers my mark. "Thank you, George. But you don't need to forgive me so easily." I take his hand and we move away from the corner.
I'm projecting a facade on everyone else who's not meant to know I'm here. It's the only way I can remain unknown. George holds my hands and starts swaying with me slightly, smiling at me. I give him one in return and his eyes lock on someone over my shoulder.
A smirk cracks on George's lips and he looks back at me. "Seems like someone is jealous." George whispers out and I frown. "Why would they? We're friends?" I turn around and green eyes lock with my blue ones. Harry stares at me, watching with a clenched jaw as George and I dance.
I stop for a moment, and my dark blue dress sways slightly. Harry continues to watch George and me, even I can see the jealousy in his eyes. My heart spikes in my chest and I stare back at the boy. George chuckles at my reaction. "You really are in love with that boy." He calls out and I turn my head to look back at him. I swallow at his words and I remain silent, not denying them because they're true.
My heart pounds within me and I take a step away, exhaling as I glance at the exits of the tent. "Excuse me for a moment, I need some fresh air." George nods and I move away from him. A pair of eyes follow after me as I walk away, and they're not George's.
I rush outside and get greeted by the cold air instantly. It's soothing on my warm skin. I swallow harshly and my eyes lock up on the star filled sky. My head has started to throb and I close my eyes. In my mind I can see the other me, what's she's done. What they're doing. And they're on their way here.
My eyes snap open and I rush inside, grabbing Harry's arm who was following me outside. He might've wanted to talk, but it doesn't matter right now. His safety is more important than my feelings. "You need to leave, now." I morph my appearance, and still keep up the projection. My eyes are wild and my breathing becomes uneven. I drag Harry with me and rush over to Hermione and Ron when a ball of light cuts its way into the tent.
It lands in the middle of it and gasps can be heard. I freeze, my eyes wide and my breath shaky. "The ministry has fallen. The minister of magic is dead. They are coming. She is coming." I drop Harry's sleeve. "Jupiter?" Harry questions and I let out shaky breaths, closing my eyes and watching what the other me is doing.
Hermione and I lock eyes and I grab Harry's sleeve. Hermione reaches for me and we lock hands, she drags Ron with her. She knows what's happening.
We apparate away just as flames erupt the wedding.
The sound of a bus greats me and we fumble off the main road. I drag the three of them with me. "We need to find cover, and disguises." I've already masked my appearance and clothes. I look around at the unrecognisable area. Hermione is walking beside me, leading us to an alleyway.
I accio a bag to my hand, the bag is filled with everything. "You need to change." I open up the bag, reaching for clothes and throw it to them.
"I can't explain what's happening in the open. Just trust me on this."
I doubt they will, but they'll have to. Because they know if they don't, none of us will be alive.
