THE FEELING OF DARK MAGIC ONLY GROWS THE DEEPER INTO THE DARK CAVE WE GO. I've disguised myself, as a precaution. "This is the place." Dumbledore announces to Harry and I. A dark feeling looms in my stomach, it makes me feel ill. It makes me feel connected to this place, but why?

"This place has known magic." The headmaster calls out and I scan my eyes along the dark cave walls. It's freezing, unnaturally cold. Dumbledore pulls a knife from him pocket, turning to look at Harry and I. My eyes move down to look and the metal blade and I know what must happen.

"Use mine." My blood. The teacher shakes his head and holds the blade over his turning grey skin. "In order to gain passage, payment must be made." The teacher says and Harry stares at him with wide eyes. "Payment intended to weaken any intruder." Harry takes a step forward. "You should let me, sir." Dumbledore shakes his head.

"No Harry. Both yours and her blood is much more precious than mine." He doesn't refer to my name, in case someone is watching. He cuts his palm and drags his hand over the cave wall which rumbles and falls from the touch before an opening is revealed.

I hold out my wand and it glows, lighting our path. "Voldemort will not have made it easy to discover his hiding place. He will have put certain defences in position." Dumbledore's voice is quiet and I keep my eyes searching around us. Water and clear crystals surround us. It's silent, completely silent.

I can feel death around me, only there isn't anyone here. "Careful." Dumbledore whispers out before Harry's shoes touch the water. My heart pounds within me and the grip on my wand tightens as I look around us. Dumbledore casts a spell and it locates the Horcrux.

"There it is. The only question is how do we get there?" Dumbledore looks back at Harry and I before standing in a crystal almost touching the water. He holds out his hand and calls something to it. A chain appears and I take it, pulling it along with Harry to reveal a boat.

My eyes look down at the murky depths of the water. There's something under there, Dumbledore knows it too. The three of us make our way onto the boat and it takes us towards the area of light that the professor used to locate the Horcrux.

My hands are trembling slightly, and with each step deeper into this cave, the more I feel connected to it. I step off the boat first, carefully standing on a large crystal before moving out of the way for the men to get off. I keep my eyes on the water surrounding us, looking for any changes, any ripple in water as they look for the Horcrux.

"All of it has to be drunk." This spikes my interest and I look back at the men, moving to stand beside them as I look at the black liquid which hides the Horcrux. I stare at the potion for a moment, listing through similar potions in my minds before realising what it is. My eyes widen in shock,

"The Emerald Potion. This potion will put you in a state of delirium and extreme thirst, it cannot be emptied unless drank." I say and lift my eyes to look at the old man. My eyes are wide as I stare at him.

"Sir, I'll do it. I know the side effects." He shakes his head. "Do you remember the conditions to which I made you agree too." I nod my head at his words. "I'll force you to keep drinking if I must." Dumbledore nods at my words and grabs the shell cup, scooping the liquid into it before lifting it to his lips.

The man groans and collapses to his knees, Harry catches him and I instantly rush to grab the shell, scooping the liquid into it. "Hold him still." I tell Harry and hold the shell to the teachers lips. He's groaning and quivering but I grit my teeth and squeeze my eyes shut as I keep making him drink.

Harry pins Dumbledore's arms behind his back and I keep forcing the teacher to drink until the final drop is gone. Dumbledore stops groaning and Harry gently lets go of him. I open my eyes and put the shell to the side, rushing over to where the potion was. "Water.." Dumbledore's voice scratches out and Harry instantly goes to help.

Inside is a locket, an emerald green locket. I take it in my hand, expecting to feel a rush of dark magic, but... nothing. This doesn't feel right. Something has happened, something has changed. Someone has done something.

My ears ring and my eyes lock on the water. Harry does the same and he moves over to it. "Harry..." I start and take a step to him. He's trying to get the water. "Harry, get away from the water." A hand reaches up from the water and I grab Harry, tugging him back to me.

My heart spikes in my chest as my hair turns plum from worry. My disguise has fallen and I grip my wand tightly, yelling out spells to deflect the creatures which crawl towards us. Inferi are huddling around us and glowing lights escape my wand as I manage to fight them off.

Harry has gripped my hand unconsciously due to fear. I can see one latch onto Harry's foot, attempting to drag him into the depths of the water but I tackle it away, getting myself dragged underneath instead. Water clouds over my senses and every inch of my skin is grabbed by hands which drag me underwater.

My eyes are wide and I reach a hand upwards, trying to get myself up but I'm tugged downwards by bony hands. I can't breathe. My eyes are fuzzy, but in my mind I can see something. A boy, he appears to be around my age, sixteen. He's in the cave, the Horcrux in his hand. He gives it to a house-elf, he gives it to Kreacher.

The boy gets dragged under the water by the Inferi, and he will never rise again.

"Expulsus Evanesco." The made up spell forces all Inferi away and I manage to latch onto a crystal and pull myself up. A pare of arms hook under my armpits and pull me upwards. Harry holds me and steadies me on my feet. I cough out water and fumble for my wand.

Water drips from my body and with shaking hands and a dizzy mind, I surround us in a wall of flames. The Inferni are not fireproof, they're necromanced muggles, they can burn. Dumbledore does the same after he regains his composure before parting the flames to allow us to escape.

But my eyes move back over to the Horcrux in my hand and the area to which we escape, wondering if that Projection was real, or if it was mere an act of my imagination.

A/N- I've been doing some digital art and I drew Jupiter getting dragged underwater. You can't really see the hands grabbing her because I put on a filter to make it look darker, but I like it 🤷🏻‍♀️.
