Fair warning that this is where parts of the story may begin to stray away from the show a bit. I was never planning to go beat by beat for this story, but the beginning definitely fit with that. The story does still overlap pretty well, but it's definitely not a one-to-one thing so be ready for that.

Linwan looked at the decrepit state of the archway then stared at the stairs that she and her mentor would be walking up. "Ready?" "Yeah, but are you sure you're healed enough to be doing this? You could wait at the top." "No way. If I'm training you, I'm doing it right." She smiled a bit at her mentor then shrugged as she started walking. "Alright Mac. Let's go see what you wanted to show me so much." "Trust me, you'll like it." They kept walking as Linwan looked around, enjoying the silence this mysterious mountain provided. They did reach the top quickly, which made Macaque cover her eyes. "Um, Mac?" "Just let me lead you, kid." She made a small noise and held the hand that was covering her eyes as he calmly led her forward. "Alright." The monkey slowly uncovered her eyes and waited for her to see the giant avatar that stared at her with one eye and one 'X'. Linwan stared at it then slowly walked towards it before she let out a squeal, which did make Macaque flinch slightly. That was alright though because he was now sure she was excited. "He's huge! Oh my gods, you're huge! Can I see you closer?!" She held her hands up as she spoke and her mentor snickered before the avatar leaned in. She gently touched its face, near the X and smiled softly when it leaned into the contact slightly. "He's cool to the touch. So... why are you showing him to me?" She glanced at the monkey who shrugged. "You've been learning a lot since the fight with DBK. In fact, let's go over what you have learned." "Again?" "Hey, you need to remember these skills. You've mentioned MK forgetting his and I won't have that happening to my student." She chuckled a bit. "Now show me it all before we continue with this one." He motioned to the avatar then crossed his arms.

Linwan took a small breath and summoned both Vi and Lily, then summoned several more shadows. "More than last time. Good." She dismissed them then walked into a portal that had her stumbling next to Macaque with a squeak, but he stabilized her with a single tug of her sleeve. "Still having issues with the landing?" "Y-yeah..." "You'll get it down. It's all about positioning yourself as you come out of the portal. Might help to just drop into a portal than to walk into it. Floor portals are easier." "Huh.. Never thought of that." He gently shook his head then stopped and looked off. "Li, shadows." "Huh? Mac, what-?" "Now Li!" She jolted a bit then quickly slipped into the shadows and saw why within seconds. It was the Monkey King, who landed on the mountain rather angrily. Now she was happy that her mentor taught her how to properly hide within the shadows. "Monkey King! What do I owe the pleasure, bud?" He snorted softly when the king groaned at his words. "I thought I saw someone else here with you. Wanted to make sure you weren't trying to mess with the kid again." "Oh come on. I'm not always scheming. Can't believe you've decided to watch me though. Really, it's an honor." He gave that snarky tone that made Linwan chuckle, but she kept still and silent due to who was in front of her. The conversation eventually evolved into an argument, which then evolved into a fight. The two seemed evenly matched, but that forced Linwan to listen instead of properly watch due to their speed. By the end of it, Macaque was thrown into the ground in front of her and Wukong was quick to charge, but he was stopped by one thing. Linwan had quickly slipped out of the shadows between them with her arms held out. "STOP!" He froze and the shockwave that came after the held back punch made Linwan's hair lose its hair tie, which flew off, and the hair whipped around her face. In the end, her hip length hair puffed slightly as she panted with wide eyes. "Li, what the hell?!" The voice came out muffled, but she knew it was her mentor shouting. Unfortunately, she couldn't answer because she was too busy trembling as her body began to process what almost happened. "H-Huh? So there was someone else?" She kept silent with the shocked expression until Macaque stumbled over and pulled her to look at him, quickly forgetting his new injuries. It took a moment... then she hyperventilated with tears forming as realization hit her. She could've died if he didn't hold back fast enough. Macaque was quick to hold her against his chest as he glared at Wukong then focused on easing her while the ginger monkey watched in confusion.
