Linwan tiredly stirred as she heard her phone ringing with MK's ringtone. She looked over and saw Macaque staring at the ceiling. "... Mac?" He glanced at her then gave a small smile. "Hey, kid." She gently motioned as she kept looking at him half asleep. "Phone..." "Oh, yeah, sure." He sat up and got her her phone as she yawned, then answered it. "Hm?" "Sorry if I woke you up Lin. I just thought you might want to check out Flower Fruit Mountain with Mei, Sandy, and me." "Flower Fruit Mountain?" She rubbed her eyes as she thought. Her being half asleep just meant she didn't keep her thoughts filtered properly. "Is this about that demon under the city?" "What demon?" "Lady Bone-" "What?! How did you-?!" She held her phone away from her ear as she winced, now waking up quicker and realizing her mistake. "Huh? Oh, I'll explain later." She slowly got up and stretched as she put MK on speaker. "Right... S-so did you want to come with us to Flower Fruit Mountain?" "Hmm..." She glanced at Macaque who thought it over then whispered to her. "You'd be safe there Little Shade. Those whispers can't reach there and Wukong isn't around so... I'd be fine with you going." Linwan paused to yawn then held her phone up. "Yeah, I'll be at Sandy's in a bit since I'm assuming we're going on his boat." "Yep! See ya then!" The phone went quiet and she huffed, then walked towards the bathroom. "He hung up." "So, will you be inviting them?" "Yeah, I should do that today huh. Get half of them now and the other half later. We'd do better with this demon if they know about you and-" "Don't worry about that right now, kid." She looked back at him with a brush in her hand. "Don't worry? Mac, she's been getting into my head and she's physically attacked MK. Now is the best time to worry about it." He slowly took the brush from her hand and started brushing her hair for her, so she grabbed her toothbrush and started brushing her teeth. "Sure is, but since I'll be handling it, you shouldn't worry." "You sure?" "Sure am." She hummed quietly as they continued to get her ready. She spit out the toothpaste in her mouth and cleaned her face. "Thanks for helping, Mac." "You do seem more awake now." She walked back to the room and went through her clothes so she could change. Macaque leaned against the wall in the hallway, knowing she needed her privacy but that she'd keep talking to him like always. "Alright, so I was thinking-" "As you always do, kid." She snorted. "I was thinking! I tell MK all about this demon I faced with him then explain I have someone who can help." "And this someone is..." "My lovely mentor, the powerfully smart Six-Eared Macaque!" She happily held her hands behind her ears as if she were listening out for something, then lowered them as she looked thoughtful. "Speaking of..." "Hm?" "Why do they call you that? You don't have six ears. You know, unless I can't see them." He gently shoved her excited face as he snickered. "You should show them some time. I bet they're cool." "We'll see. Now get to the docks. Can't leave them waiting." "Right!" She went to the door after putting some shoes on. "See ya Mac. Be careful handling that Lady Bitch Demon!" She left and he stopped to laugh at the name.

MK had met with Linwan before she could get to the docks and gave her a wave. "So, uh, how did you...?" "When you turned tiny in the restaurant, I was next to you and... well, all drains lead to the sewers, so I went down there to find you." "That was dangerous." She paused when he said that then sighed. "Right, you don't know." "Don't know what?" "I might as well tell you." She stopped walking and looked MK in his eyes so he knew she was serious. "I've been learning how to fight against demons." "Huh? How?" "You're not gonna like this, cause you've fought him before but..." "Wait who?" "I've been learning things from Macaque." "WHAT?!" She flinched and held her ears. "H-hey hey, my ears are sensitive." "Sensitive? Wait, don't change the subject!" "Yeah yeah, I knew you'd react this way. He did royally fuck up with you after all." The hero gently grabbed her shoulder. "Lin... He's-" The girl sighed and decided to drop into the shadows which freaked him out a bit, but came up an inch away from where she was so he wouldn't panic. "I know. He already told me everything and trust me, I yelled at him about it." He let out a small squeak then looked down. "He could hurt you." "MK, look, how about I explain everything as we get to the docks? You can ask questions and anything else as long as it doesn't cut me off. Sound fair?" He thought about it then slowly nodded, so she began walking as she started the story at the beginning... back when he got his powers and she began feeling something in the shadows. By the end, she mentioned LBD and the boy seemed to wince. "So, you saw everything?" She nodded softly. "I did. Kinda." "Do you hear her right now?" "I... try not to listen, but yeah. Mac said that the whispers won't reach the mountain so I'll be safe there." "So, um... Monkey King." "Oh, uh, yeah. It's not like he was trying to kill me or anything." "Don't like him?" "No, I just, I-I don't know. I guess I just don't like that he badmouthed Mac after he took all that time caring for me." "Yeah, I get that. I still can't say I like the guy, but I'm glad he's taking care of you instead of what he did with me." She nodded softly then looked over. "Oh, look. We're here." He suddenly grabbed her and dragged her along. "Let's go find something to beat her with then!" He definitely seemed happy that he had someone to share that stress with. Good. He shouldn't do it alone.
