All I have to really say about this one is that it's a long one. It somehow got the length of a special? It was fun to write up though, so I'm not complaining.

A few days passed of Macaque being in and out of consciousness and Linwan was there the whole time, ensuring he had no infections from these wounds that... well... should've killed him. Then again, he wasn't exactly a normal person. What did Linwan do with her time while he was recovering? Working at Pigsy's, practicing with her shadows and portals (carefully), and reading up on a specific subject: Monkey King. She never was into this guy's story. He was so chaotic and never seemed to think too far ahead. He was also kind of forced into the situation of the Journey to the West and yet everyone treated it like a grand tale for him. He had agreed, yeah, but it was only to get from under a mountain and he got the golden fillet in return. Another leash. But that wasn't why she was reading up on him. No, this was about his abilities. She needed this information for a couple reasons. Firstly, MK gaining these powers would mean more wild hijinks for them all. Secondly, Macaque was sort of like this guy, right? At least in terms of them both being monkeys who could do extraordinary things. Surely they had some similar powers? Finally, if Macaque had similar powers, then she'd learn to use them too. She sighed softly and put her book down when she heard her phone vibrating, then leaned over and turned off the alarm. Macaque stirred a bit, causing her bed to creak slightly in response, then looked at her with bleary eyes. "Hey, Mac." She spoke softly as she leaned over a bit and got a real quiet "hey" in response. "You're finally responding with your voice. That's good." She looked down at her wrist when she felt him lazily rubbing at where it was bandaged up. "Though, you don't seem all there just yet... Still doing that, huh?" He mumbled something else that, surprisingly, even Linwan couldn't hear. Before she could continue with a question, she heard her phone vibrating again. "I gotta get to work. I'll come check on you while I'm on my break, alright?" She pulled away and turned her alarm off again, but stopped when she felt her shirt get grabbed on. A small pause of silence made the girl look back and stop when she saw her mentor looking at her with slightly more focused eyes, blinking through the daze of pain he was in. "Be careful out there, kid." She smiled softly and gently patted his hand. "I will be, promise. If anything happens, I have my shadows and portals to bring me back here." He seemed to glance at the bandaged wrist again, but she didn't notice. "Don't worry so much. I can handle it." She gave him a determined look and he sighed softly before slowly falling asleep again, letting her shirt go in the process. He could've clung onto it, so she was grateful he silently decided to spare her the pain of getting out of his tight monkey grip.

Now that Linwan was at Pigsy's Noodles, she was doing all that she could to help, even delivering. She had to apologize to her boss when she had returned and explain that she was sick, very sick, for that time she missed. Unfortunately, she came back when MK was gone due to his training, so she was the only one on deck for all of these deliveries and people sucked extra today for some reason. While in the middle of one of her deliveries, everything went to hell and the customer ended up slamming the door without paying for their food. "HEY WAIT!" She huffed when she heard the Bull Clones behind her then turned to take them on. "What, did your boss, Red Pepper, want a... rematch?" She blinked at the surprisingly angry looking Bull Clones before letting out a small "huh". They roared at her and pounced, but she was quicker in her movements by summoning Vi to hold them off for a bit. She took off through her portal and felt Vi fade away rather quickly. "Shit... Okay, get to Pigsy. Macaque will be fine for a bit longer!" She definitely said this to make herself feel better as she tried to figure out where she was, but it didn't help as much as her going to destroy the robots after her. By the time she got to Pigsy's, everyone else was assembled and in the moving truck, so she held her arm out while running and grabbed onto the open window. She kicked herself off of the street and hung onto the truck as she panted slightly, then looked into the truck to see the others. "Hey Li-Li!" Mei welcomed her, which made her smirk, then she looked confused. "Where's MK?" They all glanced at a clone of MK lazily sitting back, which finally brought her attention to it. "... Not the real MK?" Tang shook his head and Linwan huffed softly. "Anyway, the Clones are more durable than before. Usually I can break them easily, but something seems to be holding them together. It took twice the effort." "I did notice they were more aggressive." Sandy chipped in after the girl explained what she had learned. "Yeah, they definitely are. They tried to get me immediately." She looked forward then glanced at Tang when he spoke up. "Are you alright hanging on while Pigsy drives?" "Oh, totally! I don't want to be squished in there right now. Now, let's hold the city together until MK gets here." "I'm right here, guy." "I meant the real MK, you lazy monkey." "Ouch." Though he spoke up, he seemed completely uninterested in everything, which made her want to poof him right there... but maybe he was a fighter?
