At the lovely Pigsy's Noodles, Linwan blinked at the situation in front of her. See, she had been sweeping the floor while thinking about the sight she woke up to about a week ago. When she had woken up after learning so much, she had glanced over her shoulder to see Macaque sitting on a chair next to her bed with his head hung low, sleeping. The only reason she even looked towards him? He had still been lazily rubbing her back and she had felt his claws gently digging into her scarred flesh. It didn't hurt but it did make her adrenaline pump at first, though she tried to relax as to ensure Macaque got his rest. He did look like he had needed it at the time and... She had gotten distracted until she decided to look around the room to see how much more she had to clean. Instead she saw Mei, Tang, Pigsy and MK watching some random guy that was at a podium as he spoke up. "Thank you for this amazing turnout." She glanced around from her spot in the corner. 'No one's here...' Despite the fact that no one was here, Mei was able to add the necessary excitement (okay maybe it was too much since she was throwing stuff) to the event. "Woo-hoo! Let's hear it for Monkie Kid! Hero of the city!" "As mayor, I hereby give Monkie Kid the key to our fair city." The 'mayor' pulled out an obviously ominous skeleton key, seriously, the top was a skull... He handed this key to MK, which made Linwan give a shiver that she couldn't hold back as well as hold onto her broom hard enough to hear the wood groan softly at her. "Um," MK started to sputter a bit then managed to continue, "What does this key do, exactly?" "Oh, you'll love this. It has the power to open anything!" The 'mayor' stated this as if it were a perfectly normal prestige to gain. "Oooooh, anything?" Mei jumped onto the podium and ended up almost in the mayor's face, causing him to appear nervous despite not losing that creepy smile. "Like a pet shop full of puppies?" "Yes. Or the door to a lion's cage, or an orphan's piggy bank, an imprisoned mystic power source. Whatever you like! Today, you can do no wrong." He slowly tilted his head as he listed everything, seeming slightly more crazy with each listed item, then went back to his normal tone. "You've got my permission. 'Cause," he had to pause as he held onto the podium then yelled in an unhinged tone, "I'm the mayor!" He laughed maniacally then vanished in a whirlwind of blue that disappeared like a cold whisp. Linwan's nerves lessened and she ended up sighing as the other two spoke about the mayor and the key. "Huh," Mei spoke, "I'm starting think, that's maybe not the mayor." Linwan huffed as a way to say 'ya think?' then looked at MK, who was staring at the key. "Wow. A key that can open anything."

Before Linwan knew it, her two best friends had dragged her out of Pigsy's Noodles and used this time to have as much fun as possible, forcing the young lady to go with them. Seeing as she never had the time nor chance to properly see the city, the two practically gave her a tour of the entire city's most fun activities and she wouldn't deny enjoying today so far. Unfortunately, she did have to save the day every now and then, like when Mei and MK opened the back of a van. The dogs were fine, but that tiger was a whole other story. She rubbed the back of her neck as she thought about the screaming and running. She didn't want to use that trashcan lid on the animal, but she'd be damned if those two idiots died that way... The other two had relaxed for a moment which allowed the young adult to mentally catch up with her friends. Suddenly, MK ran over to Mei and Linwan. "Lin! Mei! Okay, hear me out." He paused to present the key, "We knew the key could magically unlock anything. But maybe, it can also magically lock anything too!" Mei deadpanned at him and gave a small "You literally just described all keys", which made Linwan nod in agreement. "Sure, yeah, fine." He continued with his train of thought, "But do you know what this means? Having this key, this power. It's so much responsibility. But I know what we need to do." At first Linwan had perked up about the aspect of him being more responsible. 'Yes! This key still feels wrong, even if it's fun to use.'
