I had to do it. I had to extend the beach part of that special into a full blown chapter, and I'm not even sorry for it.

✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄Linwan⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧Linwan grumbled and cracked open an eye to peek at whoever was shaking her gently, even if it was pitch black in her room. She huffed at the intruder and stuffed her face in her pillows. "What, dad?" "The kid called." "I'll call him back later..." "No need to, I answered it for you." She mumbled out a small "that's nice" into her pillows before the half asleep cogs began to slowly turn in her head. After a moment she jumped up, way more awake now. "Wait, you spoke to MK?!" He opened the blinds and she hissed before burrowing in her blankets to escape the nearly midday sun. "Yeah, I did. I knew you wouldn't answer him at all, so I took matters into my own hands. Now get up." "Whhyyyy?" "Because we're going to go see them." "See them?" She slowly peeked her head out of her cocoon of warmth, but got a shirt thrown into her face. "Yes, now hurry up before I make you." She pouted and took the shirt off her face before sticking her tongue out at him as he left the room, then got dressed anyway... even if she did question why she needed swim shorts. Surely they weren't actually going to a public pool or something. Right? She paused before she glanced at the window before slowly closing it and turning on her light. The dim thing was better than the bright sun burning her retinas. She thought for a moment about how she had been avoiding the young hero and the King since the whole brotherhood incident, trying to figure something out that, frankly no one could help with. Not even Sandy or Macaque. A sigh dragged itself from her throat as she looked down at her outfit, the black and purple shorts paired with a grey shirt was going to be the best she'd get at this moment of self-loathing she felt bubbling in her chest. "Let's do this... I guess."

✧⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄Group⋄⋆⋅⋆⋄✧Wukong flipped his red sunglasses out and put them on before triumphantly holding up a bag. "Popsicles, anyone?" The Monkie Kids and the Demon Bull Family all reacted to the King, some cheering and others raising their hand. Sandy even called dibs on the blue popsicle. When Pigsy cooked some kebabs, he made sure to tell everyone to get it while they were hot, but the young adults were too busy messing with the water to stop. When it came to volleyball, PIF was the most excited. Her son and herself versus Mei and MK led to the two young adults getting absolutely wrecked by the Princess, and even her son seemed surprised by her passion. The group buried Sandy at one point, though they literally sculpted the sand to look exactly like the blue demon which made Tang joke about making "a sandy Sandy." It didn't take too much longer for everyone to jump into the water, though DBK and Wukong stuck with fishing instead.

Once everyone took a break, Wukong and MK sat on two lounge chairs, clinking a peach drink filled glass and a can of sunscreen together with the King laughing as he reclined on his seat as the young hero sprayed sunscreen on himself. "See, bud? This is what it's all about. Kicking back in the sun, eating popsicles with my best friends in the world!" As he spoke, MK choked on the sunscreen he applied to himself then rubbed it into his skin. "Yeah, this is maybe the best day of my entire life." He threw his hands up then pointed at himself. "Aight, that should do it! This baby ain't getting sunburnt. Not today!" He got into a starting position so he could race off. "Woah wait, woah!" The kid rushed off despite Wukong speaking up, leading to a shockwave before a loud splash was heard. The ginger leaned forward and waved his arm around. "You gotta let it absorb first! Sunscreen needs to absoooorb!" "Tch, don't bother." The monkey looked over to see Pigsy cooking on the grill, handing a kebab off to Tang. "I've been telling him that for years, but he literally never listens." "Yep, that's how we roll." He reclined with his eyes shut, wanting to soak up some sun but being shaded suddenly. "Yo, kinda blocking out the sun there!" He lowered his sunglasses before sticking his tongue out a bit. "Ugh... it's you." The shadow monkey above him finished putting the umbrella down and glanced back at him. "Cute. Thanks for the invite, by the way." He sat on the chair MK was in, putting one foot on the chair as his tail rested behind him. "And thanks for showing up, even though you were not invited!" "MK invited Li and I, actually..." He grumbled in return before he looked down at a peach shaped popsicle that was suddenly being offered to him by the ginger. He raised a brow before accepting it. "You know this is the calm before the storm, right?" Macaque stared at the popsicle as Wukong looked ahead. "Yeah, I know." The ginger monkey smiled before reclining back. "But, that can be a tomorrow problem. Whatever they're scheming, we can handle it." Macaque looked at him then at the group of friends playing in the water.
