Linwan slowly woke up in that void again and quietly cursed at herself, then paused when she realized she couldn't hear herself. She quickly sat up and swayed, but she was forced to place both hands on the ground in front of her to keep balance. Her losing her hearing led to her being off balanced... or at least that was her guess. She gently touched her right ear once she felt stable enough and shivered at the ice that was covering it. It wasn't a thick layer, but it was thick enough to have shards popping off of it. Maybe it would look pretty in different circumstances, but right now she really wanted to be able to hear. Oh boy, here comes the start of a panic attack. Fortunately, but unfortunately, she was interrupted by a certain demon. "Awake again, child?" 'Oh great, even without my ears, I hear you...' "Yes, thanks to my abilities I can remain with you whenever I wish." 'That's pretty creepy don't you think?' "You've only caused this for yourself." 'Gee, wonder why the prisoner would do things the captor doesn't like.' Even within Linwan's own mind, the sarcasm managed to drip from her words. "Be good and I may just allow you to watch over your mentor." The girl immediately bowed her head in a gesture of relenting to the demon, which got an approving noise in return. "I shall return once I speak to your mentor, child." She nodded softly and waited for her presence to leave before she smirked, getting into a meditative pose. If she couldn't do anything to help now, she'd focus on learning her impressions and shadow abilities to use later.

While keeping a metaphorical ear out for LBD, Linwan had managed to make herself appear to be more like MK. How could she tell? Her hands and clothes looked more like the boy's. She stared at MK's... uh... her hands then intertwined them before checking for every detail in them. 'Good work. They look and feel just like his.' She took her hands apart then shook out the impression before seeing her hands were back to normal. 'Easy. Now, for the next lesson.' She closed her eyes and went back to focusing on someone else. This time, she got even taller than before and slightly ran a tongue over her teeth, feeling sharper canines then imagining fur all along herself. Before she finished, she felt a presence coming and quickly shook out the changes, though that made her dizzy and forced her to once again put her hands on the ground. It didn't take long for dress shoes to appear in her view of the ground. 'Oh... It's him. Should probably just... sit here.' She felt him grab her shoulder so she forced herself to look at him, then stared at him as she watched his mouth move. "... Are you using me to vent now?" She asked a bit louder than intended then tapped at her ears. "Can't really hear you Mr. Creepy." His smile widened before he articulated his word so she could read his lips. Window. She blinked then raised a brow before looking around, but stopped when she saw he looked amused. 'Liar...' She sighed and lowered her head again before closing her eyes. It was best to ignore him, but she couldn't help but make a comment in an attempt to wipe the smirk off his face. "Shouldn't you be tricking kids or stealing babies?" She sensed him moving and ended up watching him closely, barely managing to avoid flinching when he leaned in close. He stared at her for a while before his smile widened once more and left. That just left her confused and concerned.

'Finally.' Macaque stared at the palace that belonged to the Dragon of the East. After a moment, he glared at it as he thought about the idea of failing. He couldn't do that now. He rushed ahead and saw a vehicle, but stopped upon seeing the Dragon of the East himself. "So, they sent you to slow me down." His eyes glowed purple for a moment. "You and the one you serve are not welcome in this city." The dragon spoke up before bringing out his dragon form. Macaque chuckled. "You don't really think you can stop me, right?" He took a moment to summon plenty of shadow monkeys, his cudgel, and the smoke avatar while his smirk turned into a toothy grin. The dragon scoffed before the two charged at one another, beginning an intense battle that surely allowed time for the others to get away from the ocean.

Linwan sat in her meditative state again and thought over a lesson she was given about how some of her abilities worked. Unfortunately, she kept getting distracted by other thoughts that contained less than savory outcomes for everyone. She shook her head and tried to focus past her paranoia and anxiety, taking a deep breath then letting it out just as Macaque and Sandy both showed her to do. It just... Didn't work until she got up and stumbled herself into one of the walls, slid down it, and tried again. Walls meant safety... Apparently. 'No wonder why Dad likes to sleep with his back towards the wall. Wonder if that's why he holds me facing his back. Wait, does that make me, like, a lookout when he carries me? No no, I usually place my face in his chest or on his shoulder... Like a baby monkey? Huh...' This situation was oddly enlightening on why he acted how he did so often as well as how he was with her. She shook her head and focused once more. Delving into oneself was a tiring thing according to Macaque and this was her first try. "When meditating, make sure to not go too deep. You can get lost for days... Sometimes months if you're not extra mindful of yourself." She suddenly heard his voice in her head and smiled at it before she frowned at something else. 'Is... Is that supposed to be there?'

Something shaped like a little girl was in this strange icy place within Linwan, and despite thinking it may be a bad idea, she focused on it. It took a while, like something was fighting her, but she eventually reached the small shape. "A little girl?" The girl-shaped being in question turned towards Linwan. The shape went to speak but she couldn't understand it, so she crouched near it. "I... I can't hear anything. I'm not sure if that's her magic or not... I'm sorry." She thought about what to do and sat down. "So, uh, are you supposed to be the possessed girl?" A small nod came from the shape. "Alright then. I'm Linwan." She looked the shape up and down then tried to focus harder but ended up feeling a shiver. "She's definitely keeping me from reaching you properly. How annoying." She put a hand to her chin as she saw the shape roll into a ball. "I'll be getting out of here." The shape quickly turned towards her. "Yeah. After that, I'll be bringing a hero in a bandana, the Monkey King, a bunch of my friends-" She leaned close and whispered. "One is a dragon." A smile formed on her face. "And the best one of the group. The amazingly intelligent Six-Eared Macaque. He's my mentor and he's super strong. I... I know he's probably holding back because I'm stuck here. Once I figure it out, I'll get back to him and we can go all out on that bitch." She slammed her fist into her hand then realized she was speaking to a maybe? child. "Oh, shoot, sorry. I didn't mean to curse in front of you. I saw your real body and you're like super young so-" The shape waved a hand as if it was alright, but froze at the same time as Linwan. "You felt that?" It seemed to nod. "Think it's one of them?" It nodded again. "Damn. I'll be back, I promise. When I am, my friends and I will come back to get this demon to let you go, whether she likes it or not." Linwan got up and got herself to leave her meditative state, though it took some effort due to how long she had been there and how much she fought to get to this girl. By the time she came back, she opened her eyes to see the man staring at her with that amused smile. Though she looked tired, she now had a bit of energy. Meditating means energy and getting to another person... Maybe this would work better than she thought. He mouthed a few words that made Linwan shudder though. Your mentor seems to have failed us. 'Fuck...'

About 1,420 words in total. We'll be skipping "Smartie Kid" as nothing connected to the two warriors happens in that episode. Prepare for another Macaque focused chapter! Next time on Mon- I'm joking.
