Linwan was sipping on some water as she watched the TV but stopped when a certain commercial came on. The commentator for this specific commercial sounded as if they were announcing a monster truck rally when they began, "Once a year, this city becomes more than a city. Once a year, these streets... become more than streets." 'Being extra this year, I see.' "This year... the winner will become... immortal!" MK and Mei gasped excitedly which made Linwan choke slightly on her drink. Geez, even their gasps were loud enough to shake her out of her thoughts. No wonder Macaque liked being in secluded places... MK almost excitedly screamed, "A Peach of Immortality!" Their boss seemed confused as he questioned it without thinking of the consequences to his actions, "Uh, Peach of what now?" 'Oh boy, here we go.' The girl watched her two best friends angrily ramble at the pig man as she sipped on some more water, but let out a low groan when Tang cleared his throat. "If you'll allow me. Legend says there is a sacred field of trees which grows in the Heavenly Realm, protected by the gods themselves. Every few thousand years, these trees bring forth the Peaches of Immortality. Against the wishes of the Heavenly Host, the Monkey King took them all, making himself immortal!" "Hold up," Pigsy started, "I thought Monkey King was already immortal." Mei huffed as she responded, "Piggy, you're missing the point! Whoever wins this race will..." "Live forever-" Linwan sipped on a bit more water after she cut Mei off. "Apparently. I doubt they h-ave a real Peach..." The bandana wearer seemed offended when he gasped, but seemed to focus on another topic. "You're getting better with talking!" This made the girl give an exasperated sigh, though she had an amused smile, which just made her seem like a tired mother. "Thank Sandy for that." "Wait, don't change the subject!" She snickered. "You did that, MK." He seemed to beam at her saying his name then continued, "Anyway, they have to have a Peach there! They said the winner would be immortal!" She shrugged. "Whatever you say, MK."
MK and Mei rushed outside before Linwan slowly got up. "I can do the deliveries... Gives me m-more practice." She looked at her boss, who nodded a bit. "Just be careful, you hear?" "I will, boss man." He gave her a pointed look as she was walking out. "I mean it." "I know." She stopped in her tracks and blinked at the hero who rushed over to her side. "Lin, who's the better driver? Mei or me?" She opened her mouth, then saw Tang who was now next to her. "Mr. Tang?" The boy spoke as he placed his other arm on the scholar's shoulder, "Who's the better driver? Mei or me?" He noticed the flag that Tang had, which had Mei's face on it, and gasped. Tang deadpanned at his reaction then spoke flatly. "This is very uncomfortable." and with that, he ran off. This left MK to look at Linwan. "... I'm not so... sure, actually." She thought on it as MK stepped away. "Gah, whatever! I'm absolutely gonna win!" Mei huffed at him, "How? You know you need a vehicle to race, right?" MK looked at her smugly as he answered, "Oh, I've got a vehicle." Mei shook her head and left on her motorcycle before Linwan leaned over to the boy so he could see her face. "I hope you don't mean the old girl. She has a hard time riding de-liveries, let alone racing." He pouted softly then pat her. "Don't worry, I've got a plan!" With that, the boy ran off and Linwan shook her head before starting on the few deliveries that she had to do before the race took place.

While in the middle of her deliveries, she shuddered slightly. "Hey, Macaroni." "Terrible nickname... Well, at least you're still great at sensing me being here." She glanced at the shadow on the sidewalk. "How could I... not? My spine tingles every time." "It does?" He sounded as if he were genuinely curious. She nodded in response then went quiet for a bit. "Hey, Mac?" When he hummed in response, not complaining about the nickname this time, she continued. "The race will probably be really loud... But I have to be there to sup-port MK and Mei." "The, uh, Monkie Kid and that Dragon Girl?" "Mhm! They're both racing." He hummed again, going silent as Linwan reached a door and knocked on it. "Pigsy's Noodles, home of the longest noo..." She went from smiling at the customer who opened the door to a blank expression. Her reason for this? Well, they looked annoyed with her already despite just opening the door. "Um... noodles..." This customer glared at her and she quickly looked down as she held out the noodles. Despite the customer speaking to her, that cotton feeling was shoving its way into her ears, but it now also forced itself down her throat. Oh geez, she was going to choke on air wasn't she? The shadow under her gently shifted, making Linwan gain a moment to calm herself. "A-apologies!" She quickly put a smile on her face. "It was a long walk here, but I assure you yo-your noodles are still nice and hot." 'Long walk? It wasn't even that far, idiot.' She held in a choke halfway through her sentence and managed to keep her smile, as well as her tone, in check. "Great, now can I have them? You're taking forever." "Y-yes, of course!" She gently handed them the bag then put her hands behind her back. "Be sure to give Pigsy's Noodles five stars for the tremendous noodles, and have a joyous day!" She quickly walked away once the door was slammed in her face.
