Day One

Due to the bruise earned in the past "adventure", Linwan woke up to Pigsy giving her a few days off. His excuse was that MK said he needed more shifts to do something, but she knew MK and Pigsy had conspired this whole ruse so she could get better and couldn't refuse them. 'They're getting smarter...' She paused when she realized she was in her room then she slowly got up. With this annoying injury in the way, she decided to wear a baggy hoodie so she could get to it easily when necessary. Her gaze kept falling to the disgustingly blotched skin as she was changing but she eventually just huffed about it and went to eat something. Nothing made her feel terrible after a good meal after all. That led to now... With her staring at a creature in her kitchen. A monkey... In her kitchen... Maybe she was just sleep deprived? She rubbed her eyes but when she lowered her hand, she was met with that same monkey being rather close to her. "Hey there, bright e-" She screamed and quickly kicked the intruder, which was successful since he had to hold his ears to shield them from the noise. The unfortunate being was now on the ground writhing because, of course, she had automatically aimed for the kill switch in any man. After a moment, it clicked who this was and she took in a sharp breath. "O-oh shit, sorry." She panicked a bit on what to do and ended up awkwardly rubbing his back as he slowly recuperated from the hit. "No, no, that was... ugh. Good hit. Great job, kid." He paused and took a breath as he muttered to himself. "Don't spook her unless you're behind her, got it." He slowly straightened himself out and Linwan backed up a bit, then held her hands up in surrender when he lightly scowled at her. "And here I was about to cook a wonderful meal for you." "S-sorry." He sighed and got up as he rubbed the back of his head. "Doesn't matter. You don't have anything here to make. Well, aside from those mangoes, but those are mine now." She blinked at him. "'Course they are. That's why I bought 'em." He gave her a blank look that slowly became smug, but lost that expression as she got up and went to put her shoes on. "Where are you-?" "Store." He sighed as she left, quickly getting into her shadow to chaperone while out of sight.

Day Four

This chaperoning from the shadows thing continued to happen throughout the days, and every time it would happen, there would be something shiny brought home. Once the two had come home and Linwan placed a shiny marble down on her table, the shadow (who had called himself Macaque) came out and gave her a raised eyebrow. "So, uh, why?" She glanced at him. "Why what?" "Why do you collect this random shit?" "... Shiny." He gave her a look as if to ask her to elaborate, so she sighed and got a drink for them both before coming back. "Okay, so when I was young-er..." She paused to take a drink. "I had a rough child-hood. Pops helped me and, well, he wore shiny hair thin-gs." She motioned to her thick red hair tie. "Wore them with this, so it look... looked nice." "Sooo, you collect those things because they're shiny like his hair ties?" She nodded with a small hum and he nodded softly. "Understandable then. I guess..." She slowly put the marble away and stretched before freezing. "Forgot?" A small nod came from the girl as she slowly forced herself to relax. "Alright bright eyes-" She gave him a half hearted glare. "Why don't you come sit back down? I wanna talk to you about something." She raised a brow then slowly came over before quickly plopping onto the couch. "Comfortable? Good. Now," he took a sip of his drink then continued, "we both know I've been watching from the shadows. My question is this: how did you know I was there?" She looked away awkwardly. "Heard and saw." "Wait, what?" "I heard and saw you." He looked at her a bit dumbfounded then chuckled. "Of course you did. That brings me to my next question." He trailed off and she tilted her head. "Well, since you can hear so well and see into shadows easily, I figured you'd be ready for it. For me to teach you about it all, I mean." She gave him a blank stare then pointed to him. "You, want to teach," she then pointed at herself, "me?" He snickered. "Well yeah, bu-" "Okay." "Wait, just, okay? Just like that?" "Yep." "Well... Alright then. Rest up, because we start tomorrow, kid."
