─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽Sandy's Boat ☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Pigsy and Linwan had been walking their way onto Sandy's boat from the docks. Of course, it took less than a minute within arriving for the pig man to angrily speak up to both Mei and MK... and Tang. "We've just pulled a quadruple shift at the shop and we show up to see you've all been slacking off all day!" Tang came closer and smiled as he spoke. "Oh, Piggy, relax. A little time off never hurt anyone." "Yeah!" the young hero chimed in, "A time off never hurt nobody." 'That doesn't make sen-' Linwan's thoughts got interrupted by Sandy yelling to the others. "Look out!" "Kid!" Pigsy yelled out when MK was crushed under a shipping crate. The silence that followed was palpable and Linwan had stared at the container without blinking until she heard something that no one else seemed to. It was only for a moment, but it was almost like a heartbeat... Was it just her own? But, it somewhat sounded like- "I... am... INVINCIBLE!" MK shouted as he broke through the top of the container, which made Linwan let out a breath she didn't even know she held in. Maybe it was just her own heartbeat thumping in her ears. Mei seemed to cheer before Pigsy spoke up again. "Look, MK, just 'cause you got the Monkey King's powers and all, it don't mean-" Everyone gasped as Mei pulled out a damn bazooka! 'Where did she even get that?!' "MK! How about... this?" She launched several missiles at MK and they seemed to hit him perfectly, but he just yelled about being invincible again, which made Linwan look away with her hand to her chest as if she had a heart attack.
Sandy tried to ease the girl while she nearly hyperventilated, which didn't seem to be working at first, but she was pulled out of her panic when Sandy then grabbed onto her. He wasn't rough, obviously, but he knew it was the only way she'd snap out of it. She let out a rough squeak before looking at him and he simply looked towards an... elevator? "Are you alright enough to come with us?" She took a small breath then nodded but seemed to rush over to MK as they walked. The boy in question didn't seem to notice her panic since he was excited, seeing as they all reached the bottom floor before she knew it. Everyone seemed to awe at the inside of the base, but Linwan ended up staring off into a darker area until Mei turned on the rest of the lights. She must've assumed Linwan wanted to see further inside and not that she thought she saw something in the shadows. "Welcome to our new team base!" Mei spoke up, causing MK and Pigsy to speak up one after the other. "Mei, when did you make this?" "HOW did you make this?" Tang muttered to Sandy, but Linwan just barely managed to catch the conversation. "Say, Sandy, weren't you building a secret base, too?" "Umm..." The gentle giant looked away nervously. "No." Linwan snickered to herself before she noticed her two best friends look her way, which made her tilt her head at them with a confused smile. 'Is everything alright?' "What do ya think, Li-Li?" "Yeah! It's cool isn't it?" Her smile softened, happy they wanted to know her opinion despite their insane amounts of gushing over this place. It took a moment for her to look around again as she pretended to think hard about it, then looked at them both with a bright smile and a thumbs up to signify she thought it was awesome. That got a cheer from the two young adults before the group found themselves back on the ship's deck.
Linwan had decided to glance at the TV before she made a small noise and turned it up, letting the rest of the group know that she wanted them to see it too. On the TV was that annoying redhead again, speaking with a huff of snobbery. "Citizens. It is I, Redson. I have taken control of the Weather Station and will harness the very power of nature to return my father to his former glory. This message is more of a courtesy really." He pushed a lever, causing a storm to appear, one of which quickly led to water rushing past the Great Wall in a flashflood. "When I'm finished, my father will once more dominate the world! And then- Oh look! A lightning button." Everyone glanced at one another, but Mei and MK quickly responded just as Linwan had expected... with an "Oh yeah!" Pigsy, of course acting as their father figure (Dadsy is #1 y'all), quickly retorted with his own annoyed huff. "What do you mean 'Oh yeah'? This ain't an 'oh yeah' moment!" The hero, being as confident as ever, seemed to wave it off by saying "Chill out, Pigsy. I'm invincible, remember? If he wants to tussle with the champ, then I say bring it!" Mei posed with him (after having been tossing literally everything at him as he spoke...) as she spoke, hyping up the boy. "Yeah! 'Cause he's a superhero, yo! The Red Baby is gonna get M.K.O'd!" Pigsy let out a tired gruff, you know the one given when the kid has done the same shit one too many times, and continued. "You got a lot to learn, kid. Don't just dive head first into danger- Wait," He turned to see MK leaving and spoke even louder so he could be heard by his delivery boy. "What did I just say?!" MK's only response was to laugh as he rode his staff away, leaving the group to hear him yell out "Totally invincible!" in the process.
