Two serpents angrily hissed and looked around the city, making Linwan sigh and open her eyes. "Dammit... Right when I was getting into it too..." Macaque snickered a bit at her annoyed expression. "It's alright Little Shade. You're supposed to be training with Wukong today anyway." She groaned as she got out of her meditative stance and threw on her newly favorite jacket over a crop top she decided she liked for today, fixing her hair into her usual ponytail, even if her hair was shorter now. "Yeah, yeah. I know. But I doubt he does all this preparing for training stuff that you always do." "Hey, you said you wanted to think outside of our norm." "I knoooow." She whined as she zipped the jacket up halfway, just enough to cover her stomach, then turned to look at the insignia she had sewn into the back of the jacket. A bit after the group got back, Linwan had asked her dad what his symbol was. Since Wukong had one, she assumed Macaque did as well, and here it was! Her black jacket with purple and white accents perfectly showed off the monkey face, even if it did look a bit... well, evil? Edgy? It was still cool in her mind, okay?! "Alright dad. Off I go to kick some ass! BYE!" She dropped into a portal and dropped herself onto a tree just in time to see MK staring up at the hissing serpents. "Wow, they're kinda big aren't they?" A shocked yelp came from the boy that made the girl snicker. "Lin, don't do that!" "Sorry, not sorry. So, what's the plan?" "Oh, well, those two demons are back and they sent out these things." She nodded as they moved away from an attack from the blue-eyed serpent and the young warrior jumped onto its head, since it was stuck for the moment. "Go on." She leaned on her hand as she crouched on the snake. "I kind of need help with keeping them away from the people." She hummed. "Didn't I kick their asses last time and tell them to keep out of trouble?" "Yeah..." "Should I do it again?" "... No. Last time left them pretty scared of you." "Good! That's how it should be!" She squeaked and rolled off the snake when it finally lifted its head, but when it went to attack again, she was already dropping into the shadows. Once out, she dusted herself off. "Fine. So, you'll take care of the idiot twins and I'll take care of the citizens then?" "Yep!" "Cool, cool. See ya then!" She dipped again and quickly found herself escorting people away from the chaos using her clones, portals, and shadows.

Now came a small issue for the girl, she was near a few old women who were practicing Tai Chi in the lovely park... And she had to talk to them. Damn her for naturally straying away from people she didn't know. That's alright, her dad has talked to people before and she watched him so... copying him wouldn't hurt, right? "Hello dearie, would you like to join us?" She took a small breath and thought of how Macaque would talk. "I'd love to, but we've got a bit of a snake problem, so apologies for interrupting. I must ask, are you ladies able to move? If not, I can stay here to keep you safe." The women continued their practice as the other two spoke up. "You're such a good girl." "My granddaughter looks up to both you and MK, sweetie." The girl turned a bit red at both of the ladies' praises before she gave a bit of a shy smile, completely forgetting to act more like her dad and speaking way more like herself. "Th-that's very sweet. I'm sure she'll grow up to be an awesome person." The two serpents seemed to notice the music from the radio and gave an open mouthed hiss at the three old women before lunging, making Linwan turn quickly and prepare for whatever she had to do. A cloud of dirt and dust suddenly happened and a loud metallic ding was heard. 'Nice save, MK.' The boy looked back at the three women still practicing and Linwan with a smile. "Morning, ladies!" The three women spoke one after another to the boy. "Morning, MK." "What a sweet boy." "Such a dear." He sent the serpents careening away from the group before he pulled Linwan in to do a few selfies with the three women. MK gave his usual silly pose while Linwan leaned on him and gave a smug smirk, ignoring the small feeling of embarrassment and... disgust. Luckily she wasn't the sole center of attention with MK around. The boy always did soak up the spotlight for her. She found herself sighing in relief once the three women left before both young adults turned towards some cackling from a skyscraper nearby. "Monkie Kid, Shadow Monkie! It's your worst enemies, Jin-" "And Yin! The Gold and Silver Demons!" The girl groaned. "I forgot about those idiots..." "At least they came up with an alright name for you." "That's what you focused on?" "Come on Lin, everyone's been calling you my sidekick or shadow something for a while. It's cool you got a hero name now." She thought it over as she tilted her head a few times, letting the name sink in. "True, true. You got a point, MK. I mean, I don't mind being the sidekick though..." The girl shook her head at herself then continued. "Let's just go kick their asses again." "Alright!" He gave a determined huff then jumped into the tuk-tuk, poor girl, and sped off once Linwan was also in it. The two serpents turned into a giant pair of scissors and floated above the twins. "With our legendary Golden Serpent Shears, we'll give this city a nice little trim." Yin started and Jin continued. "But a dye job's gonna cost extra, and the only color we got is red!" They both cackled as the warrior whistled and MK spoke both their thoughts. "Woo, them some big scissors." He then yelped when the Dragon Jet blew by them. "Hey look, it's Mei." Linwan stated as she gently soothed her irritated ears. That jet was loud... "Anything else! Literally drive anything else, MK!" "Hey! I'll have you know this baby's got loads of miles left in her!" As if the universe wanted to prove him wrong, the tuk-tuk then puttered slowly and broke down. The boy groaned out an "Aw man!" as he threw his head back in response as the girl next to him sighed and put her hands together in mock prayer. "Poor thing will be missed..."
