It hadn't even been a full week before Linwan was begrudgingly dragged into the T.E.A. to have this terrible trip back to her "old home" happen. Where were they at now? The very damn road she had spent many days and nights trekking to get to Megapolis. At least it had given her time to finish sewing up the back of her jacket with a nice little surprise for everyone to see. That was days ago though. They'd been out for half a week, which was something Linwan definitely hadn't wanted the group to do. Megapolis could be in danger at this very moment... Oh well. She couldn't suddenly make them change their minds. Plus, she did kind of want to face the past now. Just for closure-sake. "Hey, Lia." "Yeah Sandy?" "Do you think now would be a good time to tell them?" "... I guess. It makes sense to." He gave her a thumbs up to show he'd be at the ready, which made her smile gratefully before she walked to the other person who knew her story: her dad. "Hey Mac?" "Yeah Little Shade?" "I'm gonna tell them now. Sandy suggested I do and... Well, he's right. Better to give them a heads up." He ruffled her hair gently. "Whatever you think is best. It's your story after all." "Thanks." He nodded and she took a breath before she spoke loud enough for everyone to hear. "Alright! Linwan Storytime!" Her best friends cheered as they crowded around her while Wukong, Pigsy and Tang turned to pay attention to her. 'Oh... This was a bad idea. Bad idea? What was I doing? Oh right, uh, story... What story?' She looked down as her thoughts raced, but Macaque gently nudged her to bring her back to him. She glanced at him, despite not seeing him well through her left eye, then cleared her throat before giving what she felt was a thank you. It must've been because he nodded softly then flicked his gaze to the others. "Right... Uh..." She gulped then took a deep breath and dove straight into the story. She didn't even wait for everyone to process one part before she reached another, but the others seemed to be keeping up. Somehow.

By the end of her story, she was staring off at the side of the T.E.A's wall as if she could see the world beyond it, not quite being there enough to hear or see anything but being there enough to feel everyone's stares and concerned auras. It was so dizzying that it took a moment to realize Sandy had even stopped the van and another to feel someone with claws and fur gently leading her outside for some air. Had she been hyperventilating in the silence? She felt like she had been. Everyone had followed her out, but kept their distance thanks to Sandy and Macaque insisting they did. Wait, Macaque? Surprisingly enough, it wasn't the dark furred monkey who had led her out like she had absentmindedly assumed... It was a ginger one. Wukong. She didn't realize it until he carefully ducked into her lowered view and motioned for her to relax, saying something she couldn't even hear. It took a bit for Linwan to hear herself shakily breathing and even longer for her to even hear Wukong speaking to her. "You alright now kiddo?" She nodded softly at his blurry form, but hesitated before quickly shaking her head. It didn't take much longer for the dark furred monkey to come over and begin rubbing soothing circles into her back, using his claws to gently add more texture so she could focus on that feeling, but that also didn't seem to work. Why couldn't she just calm down? Why the hell was she even panicked? This was the past and she was sure she was alright enough to speak on it to everyone, so why wasn't she? Was she broken? No, wait, Sandy said that wasn't a thing people do. But what if they did? What if this is because they'll hate her? Would they-? Her spiraling was stopped once she noticed shoes inching closer to her. She didn't even get a glance in before she was engulfed in a warm hug that was loose enough for her to pull away if she needed to. She didn't pull away though. No, she held on tightly as her legs suddenly gave out and the person she was holding onto was forced to sit down with her. "It's okay, Lin. We can wait here for a bit." Who was speaking? It was soft and bright. Like a sun kissed spot on the ground. The answer was pretty obvious. 'MK...' Another person came over and gently leaned against her back. They hummed in a more feminine voice that made her ears twitch. 'Mei... Her calming tunes...' A huff and a hand rubbing at her head. 'Pigsy... Grumpy boss.' A man sat next to her. 'Lazy Tang. His "ankle injury" is probably acting up.' She found herself internally snorting at that idea, already starting to feel a bit better from it. Finally, a large shadow blocked the almost setting sun from her and a cat rubbing against her. 'Sandy. He remembered that the shadows feel nice... And Mo remembered that he's soft enough to soothe me.'
