I'll be explaining what's going on with the length of this, and the next 3? chapters after this one, at the bottom of the chapter. You know where the usual notes are placed at!

The three made it to a safe area where they could watch the fight and Linwan immediately jumped out of the vehicle, gracefully falling out of her transformation before moving her hair out of her face. "Damn, we didn't make it in time..." She mumbled as she shuddered at the place in front of her. She heard something and looked up. "Uh, guys?" Both Ne Zha and MK had gotten out of the vehicle and quickly joined in watching the fight above them. "So, this is the power of the Lady Bone Demon. I'd heard tales, but I've never experienced it first hand. Even from here, I can feel her wretched aura." Ne Zha sounded disgusted, and Linwan glared towards the fight as she answered with an equal amount of anger. "You're not the only one." MK gave her a concerned look as he agreed softly. "Yeah." "I fear Monkey King was right. The Samadhi Fire's the best chance we have at stopping her. The fool never should've taken off on his own. Let's make this quick. Get in, get Monkey King, and regroup with the others." "Right." Though the prince and warrior seemed on the same page, even being ready to jump into the battle, the hero froze and held his hand out to them. "Wait! What if... what if Monkey King is better off without us? What if we just get in his way?" Linwan turned to him. "MK, he- I mean-" Ne Zha took over, much to the girl's relief. Sure she was good with pep talks to MK, but when it came to the topic of Wukong she was... a bit out of practice. "I've known Sun Wukong a long time. He is not the loner he pretends to be." He placed his hand on the boy's shoulder. "He seems important to you, so I can only assume you're equally as important to him. If there's anyone who he needs right now, it's you." "Yeah! King needs you, MK. And we've got your back the whole way." He looked at Linwan to see her giving a small smile and a thumbs up, losing her serious expression as she attempted to ease him. He looked down and calmed himself before speaking, closing his eyes for a part of it. "Get in, get Monkey King, get out." He gave Ne Zha a determined look and the prince smiled softly in return. "That's right." They all look towards the battle and got far more serious, now actually ready to help, jumping down so they could rush forward.

The three didn't take long to get closer to the fight but froze upon hearing a groan behind them. Both young adults made confused noises as they looked back at a crater, then at each other, then back again. MK went to the edge while Linwan kept back a bit. "What is it, MK?" "Hey, that's the guy who's definitely probably not actually a real mayor." She looked down into the crater with Ne Zha and snickered. "Good hit, King. Serves that jerk right." The prince looked up then yelled "Get down!" before everyone was forced to dodge a projectile that strayed away from the fight. "Was that Monkey King?!" MK spoke up as he dragged the man out of the crater and Ne Zha looked back as he spoke. "Yes ye-" He gawked at MK and Linwan looked back before grimacing, but Ne Zha continued his response anyway. "He has the Lady Bone Demon on the defensive." "MK, please put him down... I don't want him anywhere near you, okay?" She got a glance from MK before the words from Ne Zha made something click. He immediately dropped the man, much to Linwan 's relief and amusement, and went to the prince before trying to see the fight as well. He attempted to squint and put his hands around his eyes like binoculars. "Huh? Wait, you can actually see what's going on?" "Yes. Well, pieces of it. That... speed. Sun Wukong really was pulling his punches with me." The young warrior snickered at Ne Zha's agitation and ended up chuckling with MK's response. "Yeah, yeah, that's great. But is he winning? Maybe we don't need to stop him after all." "It would appear so. But..." "Well, what do you hear, Lin?" "Hm?" The girl looked up from the man, who she was gently poking with her cudgel at the moment. She just wanted to make sure he was dead. He, unfortunately, was not. "The fight? Can you hear who's winning?" The young hero pointed towards the show of blue and yellow lights that were moving about at quick speeds. The warrior stared at him blankly before it clicked, making her eyebrows shoot up. "Oh! You're... actually asking me to use my abilities right now?" The boy nodded at her and she blushed at suddenly being put on the spot, rubbing the back of her neck. "O-okay then. Uh, yeah, I got you! Lemme just..." She walked over with a determined look and cupped her ears as she closed her eyes. "I'll try to translate whatever I hear then. Fair warning for paraphrasing and not catching everything though." "That's fine Lin. I believe in you!" She turned red and tried to ignore her best friend's vote of confidence.

"Mmm..." Ice breaking. Ice breaking again. Even more ice breaking. That's... a lot of ice. A hit and a pained grunt from a female! "He just hit her pretty hard." She heard LBD talk to herself in irritation. "The body... Shit, I forgot that little girl isn't her body." "What about it?" "She's saying it's too weak for her to stop him with." "What else?" "Hold on, MK. I can only hear so much at once." The boy went quiet so she could focus better, which made her quietly mumble a "thanks" to him. He let out a hum as if to say 'you're welcome' then she tried to listen further. "They crashed into the mech. Like he shoved her into it or something. The ice is creaking up there. Sounds like he's pausing. Destroying her means destroying..." She opened her eyes and looked worriedly towards the mech. "Lin?" "Child?" She shook her head and tried to listen again. "King, don't do it... Please." Linwan paused again when she heard LBD speak of her coming too far for this. "She sounds so... desperate to win." She winced as she heard the screaming whispers coming from the man behind them. Ne Zha and MK had looked back at him as he floated a bit and glowed blue before he fell back down, but she focused on Wukong instead, making sure to keep her ears open. "Guys, he sounds like he's in pain! I-" Her voice cracked when she heard him holding back a yell as the blue glowing souls were forced into him. She was grabbed by MK when a flash of light and a burst of energy passed them. "Oh no." "MK, what's happening?" She looked at her friend. "I can't see as far as you." She froze and trembled when she heard the freezing cold laughter of the demon Wukong was fighting. With no reaction from Wukong and her laughter getting louder, Linwan paled.

Almost 1,210 words here. I know the past two special episode based chapters (not my special chapters) have been done in long form with them nearing or surpassing the 4,000 word mark, but I was wondering what would happen if I split it off like the actual transcript splits it up. If I enjoy it being split up, I may keep it that way, but we'll see.

Tidbit 1: Linwan was finding the whole poking the Mayor thing fun. Only disappointment was him not being  dead or completely wrecked by her instead. She was glad MK moved away from him, even if she got a slightly concerned look from him as he obviously wondered why she didn't like the man.
Tidbit 2: Ne Zha calling her child made her gag a bit. Definitely another word to be banned for a while... Kid and kiddo suffice just fine. Any mention of child directed towards or in reference to her is probably going to earn a glare soon.
