Harry POV:
The morning after the troll incident came around and I was more nervous than ever. Today would be my first quidditch ever match. I got out of bed and changed into my robes, after getting dressed I timidly made my way down to the great hall for breakfast. Instead of eating, I was just moving my food around on my plate.
"Here, take a bit of toast mate." Ron said as he kept eating with zero regard to the others around him. "Go on."
I still did not touch my food and just moved it around on my plate.
"You'll need your strength to beat Slytherin Harry." Naomi said in a concerned tone as she implored me to eat.
"Mate, you can't play on an empty stomach." Kaden said after he swallowed some of his breakfast.
I saw Naomi and Aurora share a look and it looked like Aurora slightly nodded to Naomi. The next thing I knew, my foot was stomped on as Hermione and Naomi shoved food into my mouth.
"Now chew, Potter." Naomi demanded.
'Didn't give me much of a choice now did you Granger' I thought as I saw Kaden chuckle.
"Good luck today, Potter." Snape said as he approached the table. "Then again now that you have proved yourself against a troll, surely a little game of quidditch should be easy for you, even if it is against... Slytherin."
I watched as he limped away towards the teachers table.
"That explains the blood." I said
"Blood?" Hermione and Aurora asked
"Listen, last night, I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a distraction so he could try and get past the three headed dog." I started. "But he must have gotten himself but, and that's why he's limping." Naomi finished as we smiled at one another.
"But why would anyone want to go near that thing?" Hermione asked.
"Well you guys did leave me with it as all of you were screaming and running away." Kaden stated as he observed the table.
"So why weren't you bit then?" Aurora asked him worriedly.
Kaden tilted his head to her and pointed to his head. She seemed to understand as she seemed to calm down.
"The day I was at Gringotts, Hagrid took something out of one of the vaults." I said. "He said it was Hogwarts business, very secret."
"So your saying... That's what the dog is guarding." Naomi said.
The six of us looked at one another with a mixture of curiosity and fear. Before we could do anything else, two screeches were heard as Hedwig and another owl approached our table both carrying oddly shaped packages.
The owl I didn't recognize dropped the package and without even looking up from his plate, Kaden caught the package before it could hit anything.
"Thank you Alia, now you can have some food then go get some rest before you return to mum and dad ok?" Kaden told the owl as it hooted in response.
"Woah, how did you do that? You weren't even looking" Ron said in awe.
"Instinct Ron." Kaden replied as he set the package on the table.
"It's a bit early for mail, isn't it?" Hermione asked confused.
"But I-I never get mail." I said in shock.
The others looked at me with sympathy. I ignored the looks because I never talk about my time at the Dursley's. The less I talk about them, the less control they have over me.
