Aurora POV:

I don't know how long I had been sleeping but I woke up and saw the other side of the bed was empty and Kaden was nowhere to be seen. I quietly got out of bed and put on my shoes and made my way out of our room and saw that I was the only one up but I heard a fire going outside. I cautiously opened the tent and saw Kaden sitting out by the fire and he seemed to be deep in thought.

"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked leaning up against a tree.

Kaden looked over at me and smiled softly but it faded quickly.

"Hey, just thinking."

"About?" I asked moving behind him and wrapping my arms around him with my head resting on his shoulder.

"If I did the right thing in the ministry." He said then let out a deep sigh. "Should I have had Sky kill her?"

"Kaden, right now it's kill or be killed. Especially for you, so I think you did the right thing and no, I won't look at you any different. You are the still the man I love and the man I hope to marry one day and be the father of our children."

"Something about watching her burn into nothing... I don't know I felt vindicated and at the same time I felt empty. Aurora, what if I'm turning into the monster the ministry thought I would be."

When he said that, I felt my heart shatter.

"Kaden, you are not a monster. The only monsters in this war right now are the ones who want to hurt innocent people. Delores was one of those monsters, she killed our daughter and we didn't know if she would come back. If you ask me, she had it coming. I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes."

"Thank you, Aurora. I love you." He said lifting me up and moving me to in front of him.

"I love you too, Kaden." I said giving him a sweet kiss.

We heard two thuds and turned to see Storm and Sky land with a few dead animals they dropped from their mouths.

"Good girls, did you two have a good hunt?" I asked.

They both nodded then went to lay down and take watch.

"Um Sky, we got something to talk about." Kaden said to Sky making her look over at us and drop her ears.

"When were you going to tell us you became the alpha?" Kaden asked giving Sky a look.

Sky looked around and dropped her head to the ground in between her paws then she tried to cover her face with her paws.

"Uh no miss, answer your father's question." I said to her.

'It happened last year when that McLaggen jerk kept staring at you mummy.'

"You know you could have told us, we wouldn't have been mad. We do have to talk to Claire about it though, see if she knows anything about it."

'Ok dad. I'm sorry for not telling you both.'

"It's ok Sky, we aren't mad at you. We just wanted to know when the change happened." I said kissing her head.

"And you mister, come to bed. Sky and Storm can take watch until the morning." I told him sternly and pointing a finger at him.

"But, I just got the fire going." Kaden argued.

"Well if you don't come to bed..." I started making my way to the tent opening then looked back at Kaden over my shoulder with a smirk. "Then I guess you won't know what you're missing..." I lifted his quidditch jersey to show I was just in my panties under the jersey.
