Kaden POV:
The morning after I had my lovely chat with Umbridge I was down in my training room doing some training with the sword Claire told me I had to start using. I was currently using the sword in it's regular form without using the magic I can use through it. I was so hyper focused on my training that I didn't realize I was being watched. I continued to work on my swordsmanship letting all of the frustration our from the previous day. I finished my training with a combination I had learned that morning.
"You know for having just started, he's getting very good with using the sword, Grant." Apollo said.
"I'd have to agree with you on that one, Apollo." Dad said. "How long have you been training this morning, son?" He asked.
I wiped the sweat off of my face and took a drink of the water I had brought with me.
"About two hours." I answered.
"Well I must say, I am impressed. Claire, you were right when you said the young man is in fact your true heir." A voice I never heard before said.
Dad, Apollo, and I turned to see Dylan in his portrait with a proud smile on his face. Next to him was Claire who was also smiling proudly and in a new portrait was someone I never thought I'd see.
"Merlin?" I asked stunned.
"That's correct my boy, Claire here has told me many things about you." He said.
"All good things I would hope." I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Naturally, Kaden." Merlin said. "Claire asked me to assist with your training this year which will be beneficial since the dark lords have returned. We will have a heavy focus on healing spells, just in case you need to use them."
"I look forward to learning from you, Merlin." I said with a smile.
"Kaden, bring Aurora, Naomi, and Hermione. We will continue to train them as well but not as much as we will be training you." Claire said.
"I will pass the message along." I said.
"Good. Now, how does the sword feel?" She asked me.
"Oddly natural." I responded twirling the sword in my hand.
