Naomi POV:
The weekend came and the Five of us were sitting at the Gryffindor table eating breakfast before Gryffindor plays Hufflepuff in the next quidditch match. Apparently Tom Riddle's diary had also been taken so all of us were on edge. Although, we hadn't seen Aurora this morning we were starting to wonder where she was but before we could, it was time to go down to the pitch.
The five of us were walking when suddenly Harry grabbed at his scar and stopped causing me to run into him. Luckily he caught me before I fell.
"S-s-sorry Naomi." Harry stuttered as he still held onto me.
"I-I-It's alright H-Harry." I said with a stutter as I was blushing madly at how close we were. "Why did you stop though?"
"The voice. We just heard it, it means the monster is on the move again." Kaden said grabbing at his chest.
Hermione went wide eyed as she looked at me.
"We have to go to the library, sis."
"What? why?" I asked confused.
"Just trust me, come on." She said dragging me away from Harry.
"Be careful you two!" Kaden shouted after us but I could tell he was really worried with the return of the voice.
"Hermione, why do we have to go to the library right this second?" I asked
"Because I think I know what the monster is that lies in the chamber."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, if it's something that can effect both Kaden and Harry, and it's something only they can hear, it limits what the monster can actually be."
"Of course, why didn't I see it before." I said as I now understood what she was implying.
We made it to the library and instantly made our way to the section we needed. Hermione and I were looking through books until I spotted something that made all the pieces fit.
"Hermione, look at this." I said as I handed her the page on Basilisk's.
'This is it!" She said as she asked an important question next. "But how is a giant snake moving around the castle and not being seen?"
I pondered this for a moment before it hit both of us at the same time.
"The pipes!"
"Ok, let's get back to the pitch. We'll need to be careful. Have you got something to check around corners?" I asked her.
"Yeah I have this mirror, what do you have?"
"Same."
With that, we carefully made our way out of the library but before we could get much farther we heard something around the corner.
We saw the giant snake in our mirrors but it's eyes hadn't met ours yet so we were safe until the snake moved it's head and we saw who was behind the attacks before...
Kaden POV:
I was in the stands waiting for the match to start, but I was also waiting for the three ladies of our group to show up but they never did and I was starting to think something happened to all three of them.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by McGonagall making her way onto the pitch to make an announcement.
"This match has been cancelled all students will return to their dormitories immediately."
I instantly felt could as I started to feel anxious before McGonagall spotted me and approached me.
"Mr. Barnes, you'll need to come with me." McGonagall said somberly.
