Kaden POV:

October the first came around rather quickly following the beatdown of Malfoy. Luckily the rest of the month went on without incident and I wasn't in trouble for knocking the ferret boy out. I could have sworn I saw Snape send a small smile my way the Monday after the incident at the quidditch pitch after he saw what Malfoy looked like.

I was requested to go to Dumbledore's office so that's where I was heading after dinner to start training with the four professors and Dylan. I walked up to the griffin statue and without having to say the password the griffin statue started to move and the stairs appeared.

'I guess I was expected.' I thought.

Upon entering the headmaster's office, I was met with McGonagall, Snape, Flitwick, and Dumbledore.

"Good evening professors." I greeted them

"Good evening Dylan." the professors greeted kindly, even Snape which was still odd to me.

"We are going to discuss your training schedule first then we can begin with your first lesson." Dumbledore said.

"Thank you professor." I replied as I took a seat.

"So, you will be training four nights a week. Monday-Thursday. Monday you will have extra potions with professor Snape to teach you how to brew potions Dylan used. Tuesday will be lessons with professor McGonagall on more difficult forms of transfiguration. Wednesday you will be with professor Flitwick to learn charms, jinxes, and dueling. Thursday you will be with me learning to control your magic and get more accustomed to using it." Dumbledore explained.

I nodded in response letting the professors know I understood.

"Before we get started with your first lesson, Kaden would you mind explaining how Mr. Malfoy had a broken hand, a broken nose, and a dislocated  jaw?" Professor McGonagall asked with a stern but amused look.

"Oh uh... I can explain professors. When the Gryffindor's and Ravenclaws had our quidditch and what was supposed to be subsequent practices, the Slytherin team showed up and claimed they had a note from professor Snape saying that he had given them permission to use the pitch to train their new seeker which is Malfoy. Well Malfoy was being Malfoy and boasting about the teams new brooms that his father had bought so I'm assuming Malfoy could be on the team. When Aurora and Hermione said no one cared about the brooms and that everyone on the our respective teams got onto them due to our talent and not our parents money he got mad and was going to call them something horrible. Before he could day the words, I punched him in the jaw. I told him don't try me and he did so I broke his hand by stomping on it. He still hadn't learned his lesson and went on to call Naomi, Hermione, and my father mudbloods. He called Aurora, my mother, and Aurora's parents blood traitors. So I punched him in the nose and then he was knocked out." I explained as the professors look horrified by the words Malfoy had used.

"Well done Mr. Barnes. It was about time someone put Mr. Malfoy in his face." Snape said with a grin.

"I see, you will not receive punishment for what you did for Mr. Malfoy, but please don't do it again Kaden. We do not want issues with Lucius. However, we will be dealing with Mr. Malfoy for his behavior and words used against other students." McGonagall explained.

"Shall we get started then?" Professor Flitwick asked.

"We shall." Dumbledore replied.

For the next few hours, the professors explained the history of ancient magic to me and how rare it was for someone to be able to use it. The magic I am able to use, only a handful of others could use it and one of them went almost insane trying to take away people's pain. The professors and Dylan explained to me that there is magic that can be learned to heal pain and wounds but there is no magic that can counter being hit by a curse.
