Kaden POV:
"You have fought valiantly... But in vain." Voldemort's voice boomed over the grounds of Hogwarts. "We do not wish this. Every drop of magical blood spilt is a terrible waste."
"We therefore command our forces to retreat. In their absence, dispose of your dead with dignity. Treat your injured." Medusa boomed.
"Harry Potter I now speak directly to you. On this night you have allowed your friends and family to die for you rather than face me yourself. And you have allowed your allies to kill our own. There is no greater dishonor."
"Kaden Barnes because of you innocent people have died in the name of protecting their so called prince. You have allowed innocent blood to be spilled rather than face me. You are not worthy of the title of the prince of the wizarding world, and you are not worthy of possessing the magic you possess."
"Harry Potter and Kaden Barnes, join us in the forbidden forest and confront your fates. Should you do so, we give you our word that no other life will be lost on this night. You both have one hour. If, at the end of that time, you have not given yourselves up, then we shall punish every man, woman, and child who tries to conceal you from us."
Voldemort and Medusa's voices stopped as we all looked into the sky as Ron exploded with anger.
"Never!" Ron yelled. "Do you hear me!? Never!"
"Ron." I said calmly making him look at me. "Calm down. What we need now, is a little light in the darkness."
I gently placed Snape's body down and lit my hand on fire. I made it into the shape of a wolf-phoenix hybrid. I raised my hand into the air as the blue flames took to the skies and the creature started running around in the skies until it was covering the castle. Once the castle was covered, the creature sat and in the darkness of this night there was light, there was hope that the light will conquer the darkness.
I picked up Snape's body once again and the six of us made our way up to the castle and to the great hall to see who all was lost and who needed help.
We entered the great hall to find many wounded and hurt from the attacks around the castle. I gently laid Snape's body down for the final time and stood up and searched. All of the students that stayed and fought were being treated by Madam Pomfrey so Naomi decided to hop in and help heal the wounded. Slughorn was tending to Filch's arm, I was pleasantly surprised to see he stayed and fought even though he had no magic powers. As I was looking around I felt my breathing become shallow and my heart grew heavy at seeing all of the people who decided to fight for Harry and I. I was looking around before I spotted mum and dad talking with the Sharp's, and Sirius. I made my way over to them and hugged all of them tightly.
When I pulled away I saw the look of sorrow on their faces.
"Mum, dad?" I asked softly. "What is it?"
They turned to see the Weasley's gathered around a cot and I saw the lifeless body of Percy Weasley. Ron walked over to the bed and the tears were flowing freely.
"What happened?" I heard Hermione ask when she made her way to Ron's side and held his hand in an attempt to comfort him.
"Percy died saving Fred's life." Sirius told me.
Mrs. Weasley was distraught. None of the Weasley's had talked to Percy after our fourth year but tonight he asked for their forgiveness, and it looked like he earned it. There were more bodies on the ground at least twenty five. Harry and I couldn't take it, they all died because of us. As Harry and I were walking away we felt a hand on either of our shoulders. We turned to see Sirius who seemed to know what we were thinking.
