Kaden POV:
The day after visiting Aragog, Harry, Ron and I were visiting Hermione and Naomi. Harry brought flowers for Naomi which was nice and I'll definitely be telling her that when she's back to normal. After a little while I had to go help Snape made the potion to return the petrified students and Mrs. Norris.
"Lads, I got to get going. I'll see you both later. If you find anything out, I'll be in the potions classroom helping professor Snape." I told them as I got up to leave.
"Why are you helping Snape." Ron said in disgust.
"Because he asked me to help him." I said as I looked over my shoulder.
When I made my way into the potions classroom, I saw Snape had set everything up so I removed my robes and rolled up my sleeves.
"Good afternoon professor." I greeted him as he smiled at me. "Tell me what I can help with."
Over the next few hours we were making the potion. We even made extra before an announcement from McGonagall caught our attention.
"All students are return to their common rooms at once, all teachers to the second floor corridor immediately."
Snape quickly checked to make sure all of the potions stands were off and the potions were ready before we raced up the the second floor corridor.
When we arrived we saw the other professors arriving as well.
"Kaden, what are you doing here?" McGonagall asked.
"He was with me Minerva, we just finished the Mandrake Draught." Snape said.
"What is it Minerva, what's happened?" Madam Pomfrey asked.
"As you can see. The heir's of Slytherin have left another message. Our worst fear has been realized, two students have been taken by the monster, and into the chamber." McGonagall said as my blood ran cold and the color drained from my face.
'Please don't be her. I can't lose her. Please not my shining star.' I was saying to myself as I started panicking before Snape for a reassuring hand on my shoulder to calm me down.
'Kaden, if Aurora has been taken, I know you will do everything to get her back. You must be brave and face this potential fear head on.' Snape said to me as he squeezed my shoulder.
"The students must be sent home. I'm afraid this is the end of Hogwarts."
"So sorry, dozed off. What have I missed?" Lockhart said as he was smiling like nothing terrible had happened. The other professors looked at him as if he were the dumbest man on the planet.
The other professors and I smirked at his as McGonagall spoke.
"Two girls have been taken by the monster, Gilderoy. Your moment has come at last."
"M-My... moment?"
"Weren't you just saying last night that you've known all along where the entrance tot he Chamber of Secrets is?" Snape asked as his smirk grew into a grin.
"Yes and you told me that you knew who the heir of Slytherin was?" Flitwick added in now smirking as well.
"You told our class that you even knew what the monster was and how to defeat it." I added in with a growing grin.
"It's settled then, we'll leave you to deal with the monster, Gilderoy. Your skill are after all legendary."
"Very well." Lockhart said in fake bravado. "I'll be in my office getting... uh getting ready. Yes, getting ready." He said as he turned and practically ran off.
