Kaden POV:
I woke up to my alarm clock after the first dreamless night I have had in a long time. I woke up with a smile because today was the first of September, the day I will officially leave for Hogwarts and I could not be more excited to start at a new school. I got out of bed and went to the bathroom to clean myself up and get ready for the day.
After cleaning up, I made my way downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. When I got to the kitchen and sat down, mum put a full English breakfast in front of me.
"here you go sweetheart, last home cooked meal for a while." Mum said while tears were starting to well up in her eyes.
"Don't cry mum."
"I can't help it, what am I supposed to do now that you are leaving for Hogwarts?" She asked while sitting down.
"Well someone has to stay here and make sure dad doesn't do anything stupid." I responded.
"Oi! What did I do? I'll have you know I am very responsible." Dad defended.
Mum and I shared a look that said "Sure you are."
We all started to laugh as we ate breakfast and drank our tea. After breakfast, I went back to my room to make sure everything was packed and that I wouldn't be forgetting anything. I saw Phantom already in her cage and she was giving me an annoyed look.
"Hey, don't look at me like that. I will let you out once we are on the train to Hogwarts." I said to her.
She rolled her eyes at me and meowed annoyed that she has to be in her cage.
"Such a drama queen." I stated
I looked to the clock in my room and saw it was time to go. So I picked up my trunk and took it down stairs and went back for Phantom who by now was napping in her cage. Once Phantom and I made it down stairs mum and dad were waiting for me at the door ready to go.
"Ready to go son?" Dad asked.
"Yeah I'm ready." I responded.
Once we got everything packed into the car, I looked back at the house I grew up in and smiled. I looked to my right and saw that the Granger's weren't home and thought that was weird since they are usually home at this time in the morning. I put that thought to the back of my head and got in the car ready to make the trip to Kings Cross station.
Once we arrived at Kings Cross, we got a trolley and loaded up my stuff onto it. Once we got into the station, mum and dad guided me to platforms nine and ten. I looked around confused because I didn't see platform 9 3/4.
"It's ok sweetie, we'll get you onto the correct platform." Mum said while looking at the wall between platforms nine and ten.
"Uh mum, what do you mean?" I asked.
"See that wall right there, son? Dad asked.
"Yeah." I responded hesitantly.
"We are going to run through that wall to get to the platform" Mum and dad said at the same time.
"Are you two insane!? We will crash into that wall!" I exclaimed.
"Trust us, kiddo." Dad said.
I looked at them nervously as they looked around to make sure not too many people were watching. We started to head for the wall and I was getting more anxious by the step. I closed my eyes expecting an impact as we got to the wall but it never came. When I opened them again, I was met by a scarlet steam train that read Hogwarts Express.
"Woah, I love magic already." I said while staring at the train.
"We had the same reaction our first time seeing the train." Mum said to me as we moved along the platform.
