Kaden POV:
The morning after I helped Sirius escape the castle I awoke to a weight on me, I opened my eyes to see Aurora sleeping peacefully with her head on my chest. I was thinking of how Sirius was going to pull off this revenge mission and how we could clear his name so he can get to know Naomi properly and not as a dog. I saw other students getting up for breakfast but I couldn't just yet since I didn't want to wake Aurora up but I know I needed to.
I brushed some hair out of her face and kissed her forehead before I shook her slightly while whispering.
"'Rora, we have to get up now. Breakfast is going on."
"Five more minutes handsome." She groaned out before pulling herself closer into me.
"If you don't wake up, I won't let Sky or Phantom sleep in your room." I said as she opened one eye to give me a death glare.
"You wouldn't."
"You really want to try me?"
"Ugh, fine. I'll get up." She said as she slapped my chest.
"Good morning to you to, Sunshine."
"Shut up, Kaden." She said but I pulled her back so I could whisper in her ear.
"Make me." I said then smirked at her.
She became a blushing mess. Feeling like I had won, I went over to the others and made my plate for breakfast. Before I could even take a bite, Aurora stole my plate and started eating it herself.
"Oi! Why did you steal my plate?" I asked before trying to take it back but she moved it away from me.
"Because you woke me up. Now, get your own." She said as she slapped my hands away.
The others were laughing at our antics causing me to narrow my eyes at all of them. I made a new plate of food that I was luckily able to eat but Aurora decided to steal my bacon as more payback. This is going to definitely going to become a thing and there is not a thing I can do about it.
"You guys are really gonna take her side, aren't you?" I asked the group as they kept laughing at Aurora stealing my breakfast.
"Yes." They all said as I rolled my eyes as none of them were on my side.
We continued to eat breakfast before we all left to go get changed for the day. After getting changed, Aurora and I were going to head to the library to finish homework and to study for any potential upcoming exam. While we were studying, Naomi and Hermione joined us as we all studied silently for a few hours.
The next day, was our return to classes and people were still buzzing about Sirius getting into the castle. I ignored everything everyone was saying about it because only I, my parents, and Dumbledore knew what really happened. Harry and I were on our way to defence against the dark arts before we were stopped by our Quidditch captains.
"Kaden, our match has been moved up since Slytherin is saying their seeker can't play due to his arm or something. Meaning, we have Gryffindor this weekend. Just do what you did last year and we'll be fine. Just don't break your ribs this year." Roger said to me.
"Sounds good Roger, is the rest of the team prepared to face Gryffindor on such short notice?" I asked.
"Yeah, we'll be ready. Oh! One more thing, I heard scouts for the Irish national team will be there to scout some players for the world cup."
"Lovely, so no pressure at all, right?" I asked as I chuckled.
"None at all." He said while also chuckling. "We got this Kaden, just do your thing and we'll be just fine."
