Kaden POV:
Today was September first meaning we had to return to Hogwarts for the start of our sixth year. I carefully got out of bed after not sleeping much and looked to the clock to see it read 5:30. I let out a silent sigh and quietly made my way downstairs after putting on a shirt. When I got down there I saw Sirius was sitting at the table with a cup of tea in front of him.
"Couldn't sleep either?" I asked pouring myself a cup of tea and sitting opposite him.
"Not really. Just going over what we heard in Diagon Alley." Sirius said.
"As am I. We don't know who the dark lords want dead or why they tasked Malfoy to do it." I said letting out a sigh.
"The why is easy, it's because Lucius failed in retrieving the prophecy that now lays in the most secure vault in Gringotts which then led to the dark lords being exposed for being back." Sirius explained. "This is Lucius' punishment, his son joins them and completes their mission or they kill him."
"As much as I dislike Malfoy for how he's treated us, he doesn't deserve to die just because he didn't have a choice." I said then an idea popped into my head. "What if we manage to turn him?"
"What?" Sirius asked confused.
"What if we somehow turn Malfoy into a spy for us, the same way Dumbledore did for Snape." I said.
"How do you know that would work?" He asked sitting up in his seat.
"I don't, at least not yet. I won't know until I see what he looks like, but from how he sounded in that store, he sounded scared."
"If you go do this, you'll have to be absolutely sure and extremely careful. If not, it could put us all in danger." Sirius expressed the seriousness of turning Malfoy into a spy.
"I won't do anything until I am one hundred percent sure he doesn't want to be one of them." I replied.
"You know, sometimes you remind me of Lily and James with how logical you think and how brave you've been these past few years." He said with a sad smile.
"I'm assuming the brains are Aunt Lily and the brawn are Uncle James." I said.
"Exactly right, son." He said and we laughed.
When we stopped laughing I turned more serious.
"Do you really think she'll like it?" I asked referencing the diamond Aurora was looking at in my vault.
"I know she will. I know Naomi will like hers as well." Sirius said smiling. "Seeing you and Aurora grow as a couple has been truly a joy to watch. I can see how much you two love each other and you would do any and everything for one another."
"You know, Dumbledore said the same thing the night he dropped us all off here." I said chuckling. "I just hope I can be a good husband one day, and father."
"I know you will." Sirius said. "Grant and Rose told me about the vision 'Rora had back in your third year and if it's true, you will make a damn good father to your children."
"You know Harry and I are going to have to find bands to put these diamonds in, right?" I said.
"I know you two will find the perfect bands for all three of the diamonds." Sirius said.
Sirius continued to talk until Mrs. Weasley came down and started to make breakfast for everyone.
"Would you like some help Mrs. Weasley? I know my way around the kitchen." I asked.
"That's quite alright dear." She said smiling at me. "If you want to go get everyone up that would be a help."
"Will do Mrs. Weasley." I said and made my way upstairs.
