Last we left off Ban, Elaine, and Jericho encountered Galand and Melascula and managed to barely escape after Zhivago's sacrifice, and that's when they encountered Ian, who led them all to sweet gluttony, where they met Escanor, who sheltered them from the Commandments, though the commandments managed to discover their location either way. Because of his good mood, Galand challenged Escanor to a game, which he accepted. That's when Ian revealed himself and trapped the Commandments in a Perfect Cube, and had a conversation with them, where his goals were revealed. After that, Escanor revealed his true power and took care of the two commandments by himself.

We now see the group in the boar hat gathered around Meliodas who was holding a flyer.

Meliodas: In the coming days, a great fighting festival will be held in Vaizel, and the declared winner of this event will be given the right to have any wish granted.

Hawk: Hold on, isn't Vaizel that town Diane flattened like a pancake?

Mikaela: Yup.

Meliodas: I gotta admit that prize they're offering is pretty tempting. Maybe I'll expand the tavern.

Mikaela: It's obviously a scam.

Howzer: Yeah!

Hawk: So, you think Ten Commandments are behind this?

Howzer: No doubt about it. Can you think of anyone else who would do something as crazy as getting demons to hand out flyers?

That's when Hawk turned to Meliodas.

Hawk: Meliodas, no matter how you look at it-

Hendrickson: No matter how you look at it it's a trap.

Said Hendrickson talking over Hawk which angered him.

Hawk: I was gonna say that!

Mikaela: If I had to make a guess I'd say that's their way of gathering enough souls that they can use to regain their power.

Hendrickson: I agree.

While that was happening Gil was looking at Meliodas with a conflicted expression.

Gil: 'Great fighting festival?'

Thought Gil before holding his face.

Gil: 'Even if it is a trap, I want to be in a tournament like this with Meliodas, but what's the point? There is no way I can just come out and-'

However Gil's thought process was interrupted by Howzer putting a hand in his shoulder.

Howzer: Hey, Gil.

Said Howzer causing Gil to turn to him.

Howzer: You want to be in it, right?

Gil: Huh?

Howzer: You just have this excited look on your face, so I kinda figured.

Said Howzer causing Gil to start sweating nervously.

Meliodas: Alright, guys, I've got an idea: since Escanor's signal just vanished into thin air, why don't we stop by?

Said Meliodas shocking everyone other than Mikaela who raised an eyebrow.

Hendrickson: A-are you serious? Do you have a plan or?

Meliodas: Nope, just sounds like fun.

Said Meliodas causing Hendrickson and Howzer to comedically fall on the ground while Gil was happy.

Gil: Yes!

Mikaela: Sure, why not? This will be a good opportunity for me to test out my new powers.

Meliodas: That's the spirit.
