Chapter 61

Last we left off, Meliodas and Ban came up with a plan of escaping Purgatory, which involved finding the Demon King, as they believed he knew where the exit to Purgatory was, and it was during that time that Ban's body began evolving and adapting to Purgatory's harsh environments, giving him a significant boost in power, leaving Meliodas impressed. That's when the duo encountered Wild, who was revealed to be none other than Hawk's older brother, who offered to lead them to where the Demon King is in exchange for helping him get out of Purgatory in order to reunite with his brother. And while that was happening, the battle in Camelot entered a new stage, with Zeldris finally getting serious and unleashing his true power, using a technique called Ominous Nebula, which put the assault force on the ropes. Meanwhile, in Purgatory, the trio of Meliodas, Ban, and Wild set out to find the Demon King in order to escape Purgatory.

We know see the trio of Meliodas, Ban, and Wild making their way to where the Demon King is in order to find the exit to Purgatory.

Wild: Still, I can't believe the door to where my brother is can be found with the Demon Lord. My word.

Meliodas: It's still just a guess.

Said Meliodas not wanting to bring Wild's hopes up too much in case they faile.

Ban: By the way, Wild, do you know how long the Demon King's been here?

Wild: Not exactly, but he's been acting as he pleases since long before I was born.

Meliodas: Well, he was sealed away three thousand years ago in the present word's time, so it was much longer here.

Wild: On my journey to find my brother, I've clashed countless times with the root of all evil, the Demon Lord, but lost every time. That's one hundred twenty thousand one hundred and eighteen losses out of one hundred twenty thousand one hundred and eighteen battles.

Ban: You're crazy persistent.

Said Meliodas as he and Ban started chuckling at the thought of Hawk's reaction.

Wild then proceeded to sing some sort of Lullaby about Hawk Much to Meliodas and Ban's confusion.

Ban: What's the deal with that song.

Wild: It's the lullaby I used to sing to Mild! He always loved that song.

Said Wild causing Meliodas to grow a smile of admiration for Wild.

Meliodas: You really are a great brother, Wild.

That's when Ban turned to Meliodas.

Ban: How was it with you, Captain?

Wild: Oh? You have a younger brother too, Mister Meliodas?

Ban: The face you made when Wild was talking about his little brother... I've never seen you look like that before.

Said Ban causing Meliodas to look down slightly.

Meliodas: I just remembered something that Ian told me and Zeldris a long time ago.

Ban: Zeldris? He's your younger brother, right?

Meliodas: Oh, yeah...Now that you mention it, I guess we've never talked about that.

Ban: Hey, it's fine. I already know, thanks to Ian, that your siblings are a sensitive topic for you; you don't have to push yourself.

Meliodas: It's not that. It's just...not all that interesting or compelling of a story.
