Chapter 51

Last we left off, Ian offered Mikaela to join him, but Mikaela ended up rejecting his offer, causing Ian to leave. After that, the group ended up making their way to the Corand, where Meliodas was captured by Melascula, who used his power to try and boost the skeleton's powers. However, other than Ban, the group was able to easily deal with the skeletons. That's when the spirits of the deceased possessed Diane, causing her to go on a rampage, and even after Helbram sacrificed himself, some souls were not satisfied. However, Diane was stopped by Elaine, and the Newley awakened Elizabeth, who, after healing with everyone, reunited with Mikaela. That's when Melascula arrived and tried to kill Ban, though he was quickly saved by Elaine, who grew wings, increasing her power level. That's when Meliodas managed to break out of Melascula's spell by unleashing his full power, which caused him to enter his Assault Mode, seeing that Mikaela resolved to fight Meliodas to stop him while the group managed to defeat Melascula.

We know see everyone making their way to the Perfect Cube to see how the fight between father and Son is going.

Diane: Captain!

Elizabeth: Meliodas, don't do this; please, that's our son.

Ban: Grrr.

That's when Elizabeth turned to Merlin.

Elizabeth: Please, Merlin, undo the spell; I can't let Mika fight him by himself.

Merlin: Sorry, but no. Meliodas is unhinged; he's unable to suppress his dark power; he's mind and memories have been completely eroded. If I were to release him from the confines of the Perfect Cube, he wouldn't think twice about killing every single one of us.

Said Merlin before turning to Escanor.

Merlin: Escanor, how long do we have until noon?

Escanor: about a few minutes.

Said Escanor causing Merlin to sigh.

Merlin: Let's hop Mika is able to last that's long  

We then cut back to the fight between Mikaela and Meliodas.

Mikaela: 'Okay, it's pretty obvious that Dad is stronger than I am. I can't simply overpower him, but it's fine. This is not the first time I have had to beat someone stronger than I am.'

Thought Mikaela remembering his fight with Asuramaru.

Mikaela: 'I'll have to use the same approach I used against Asuramaru and compensate for my shortcomings with strategy.' Alright let's go, Tess!

Said Mikaela as he and Tess charged at Meliodas for doing the same. That's when Tess unleashed a fire breath as Meliodas, causing him to jump back and dodge.

Meliodas: ' Tess's magical ability is Pressure and ability that it can combine with its fire to give it the added effect of making whatever it touches heavier. That ability is annoying to deal with. I'll have to dodge its flames and reflect the rest with Full Counter.'

I thought of Meliodas as Tess conjured four fireballs and launched them at Meliodas, who used Full Counter to reflect three of those fireballs before jumping to the right to dodge the fourth one. That's when Mikaela appeared in front of him and attempted to slash him, causing Meliodas to jump back, dodging the hit. That's when Mikaela used Ray Stinger, launching a beam of light at Meliodas, who deflected it with Full Counter before attempting to jump towards Mikaela, though he had to quickly jump back to dodge a fire blast from Tess.

Meliodas: ' I see. He's using Tess's ability to try and pressure me and force me to be defensive, limiting my options. Not a bad strategy.'

Thought Meliodas as he leaned back one of Mikaela's sword slashes before Mikaela used Lightning Spree, conjuring multiple Godess clan symbols above Meliodas, which proceeded to launch beams of light at Meliodas, causing him to jump back. That's when Meliodas looked back and noticed a tornado of blue fire heading towards him before looking forward to see Mikaela, who used Star Breaker to coat Soulreaver with Ark, which he used to create a blade out of light, coating Soulreaver's blade and charging towards him.
