Chapter 73

Last we left off, the Planetary Alignment began, allowing Ian to start breaking his seal, allowing him to access his demonic powers and neutralize everyone. However, that's when Mikaela stepped up and revealed his newly acquired Assault Mode and proceeded to engage Ian in an intense battle like before, with everyone watching. It was a little later that Mikaela managed to gain the upper hand and proceeded to counter each of Ian's strongest spells, leaving Ian bewildered before proceeding to defeat him. That's when Meliodas, King, and Ban joined and each hit Ian with their strongest attacks, effectively neutralizing him. As it was in sight, the groups reached Ian through sheer will, power, and determination and managed to find the strength to use the power of the complete planetary alignment to completely break his seal, allowing him to be an Knull once again, who during the transformation engulfed the entire world in darkness and severely injured Mikaela while the others looked on in horror.

We now see the Holy knights of Liones evacuating the citizens with Gilthunder, Howzer, and Griamore staring at the black sky in shock.

Griamore: What the heck?

Howzer: The Sky is completely black now. What could have caused this?

Gil: I have a strong feeling that it's related to that Knull entity that the Sins set out to stop.

Howzer: But wasn't the plan to stop Meliodas's brother from turning into that thing? Are you saying that the Sins have failed!?

Gil: I don't know, but one thing I know for sure is that we need to get ready.

That's when the trio all Widened their eyes in shock as they felt a surge of magical energy and looked forward to see darkness materialize and forming a couple of miles away from Liones.

Howzer: What he!?

Griamore: Are those dragons!?

Asked Griamore in shock as they took form and formed an army of black dragons, with each dragon making its way to Liones, with some of them launching fire blasts at the ground, intending to kill any living thing below them, while the trio looked on in horror.

Howzer: Well, crap.

??: Grandmaster.

Exclaimed a voice causing the trio to turn around to see a Holy knight running over to them.

Howzer: Is the evacuation complete?

Knight: Yes, all the citizens have been evacuated safely.

Howzer: Good, gather all the knights in the kingdom and have them get into formation.

Knight: Yes, sir!

Exclaimed the knight before running back where he came from.

Griamore: So, we're gonna fight?

Howzer: Obviously.

Griamore: Can we really win against that?

Asked Griamore while motioning towards  the army flying towards them.

Gil: We don't need to win; at the very least, we need to hold out long enough until the sins deal with Knull.

Griamore: I'm going to be brutally honest; I'm not sure we can even do that considering the fact that we got dominated by that creature a few hours ago.

Gil: That dosent matter.

Said Gil getting their attention.

Gil: Did you forget what Sir Escanor did? At that time, he had no power whatsoever, and despite knowing that he was up against a foe that outmatched him, he continued to fight that creature valiantly, and if he can do that, then so can we.
