Chapter 65

Last we left off, Meliodas, Ban, and Wild engaged the Demon King in numerous battles, losing each time. However, after one of their failed attempts, the trio ended up figuring out the true form of the Demon King's magical power, allowing them to weaken him enough to find the gate. However, the Demon King ended up recovering and chasing them down, prompting Wild to use up his life force to push the Demon King back so that Meliodas and Ban could escape. However, the Demon King ended up putting his hand in the gate and managed to grab Meliodas in the process. However, Meliodas ended up using his true magical power, allowing him to break free and escape Purgatory, and while that was happening, Ban ended up returning to the mortal plane, making his way to where Elaine was, and proceeding to use his evolved magical power, allowing him to fully revive Elaine at the cost of his immortality. Meanwhile, the assault force started losing ground due to the Original Demon joining the battle. However, that's when King and Mikaela interfered, with King launching Chastiefol to Camelot while Mikaela summoned Tess, allowing Merlin to start activating the forbidden spell Chrono Coffin, while Tess, King, and Escanor held the Original Demon and Zeldris back. However, Escanor ended up being blown away when Ludociel ended up taking his place, and as Escanor was about to fall to his death, he was saved by none other than Mael. 

We now see Merlin chanting the incantation for the spell Chrono Coffin while sweating due to exhaustion and nervousness.

Merlin: 'I still need ten minutes to complete the incantation. Meliodas...please don't wake up yet!'

Thorny Merlin as Zeldris continued trading blows with Chastiefol while Ludociel and Tess held back the Original Demon with Ludociel's blocking the Original Demons attack with a smirk on his face.

Ludociel: I'll show you the power of the leader of The Four Archangels.

Said Ludociel as he proceeded to use Lightning Spree surrounding the Original Demon with multiple Godess clan symbols, which proceeded to launch multiple beams of light at the Original Demon, causing him to cough out blood.

Ludociel: Now is your chance, great Tess.

Said Ludociel as Tess quickly flew in while coating himself in his blue fire before colliding with the Original Demon, creating a powerful explosion that sent the Original Demon flying back while the Hendrickson looked on in awe.

Hendrickson: Whoa... they've injured that monster when not even Sir Escanor could!

The Original Demon quickly got up and proceeded to use a move called Hellblaze Omega, firing a spider-like Hellblaze blast from his cane towards Tess. However, Tess managed to easily neutralize the attack by slapping it with his wing.

Ludociel: Ineffective.

Said Ludociel with a smirk while the Original Demon growled in anger.

We then cut over to Mael and Escanor 

Mael: To think I'd be reunited with someone I once battled as an enemy. This must be a mysterious stroke of fate brought about by Grace.

Said Mael as Escanor stared  at him in shock.

Escanor: You're... Estarossa from The Ten Commandments...wait no. Mael of the Four Archangles...is that you?

Asked Escanor as Mael smiled at him.

That's when Mikaela, Elizabeth, King, Gloxinia, Gowther, Hawk, Diane, and Drole caught up.

Mikaela: Uncle Escanor, are you okay!?

Diane: You're a wreck!

Gowther: He has received quite the thrashing.

Hawk: You're one to talk.
