Last we left off, Ian ended up splitting the group up further by summoning an Indura to the real world, forcing the ground to split up further, with King Diane, Gowther, and Ban heading to go take that Indura down as quickly as possible, while Meliodas and Elizabeth would head north, and Mika, Gloxinia, and Drole would head east. And while that was happening, the Demon King ended up making it where Ian, while Mikaela, Gloxinia, and Drole ended up arriving at a clearing where they were attacked by a much stronger version of Chimera, then the one Tess fought at Vaizel. Back with Ian and the Demon King, the father and son ended up having a small chat before Ian provoked his father into attacking him, though that attack was stopped by a creature known as Clear Wing Dragon, which Ian revealed that he used his Originial Magic, The Architect. To create Clear Wing with the sole purpose of neutralizing the Demon King, it was then that Ian also revealed that basically every move that Meliodas and the Demon King made since Vaizel was part of his plan to take the thing most precious from the Demon King away, which is his pride and life, shocking the Demon King, Melioda, and Elizabeth. After that, Clear Wing engaged the Demon King in battle while Ian looked up to see that Meliodas and Elizabeth had arrived at his location, causing him to smirk in satisfaction.

We know see Ian standing of with Meliodas and Elizabeth as Thunder bolts started falling from the sky while multiple shockwaves were being released from the battle between the Demon King and Clear Wing.

Ian: So, what did you think of my plan? How did it feel knowing that you've been manipulated by me the entire time?

Meliodas: Ian...

Ian then proceeded to look at the sky staring at the thunder clouds.

Ian: You feel it, don't you? This world of ours is in chaos right now due to yours and your father's existence; it can't handle the darkness coming from you, and as such, it's trying to reject you. Though it does not really matter since this world is going to end today anyway.

Said Ian as Meliodas and Elizabeth stared at him solemnly.

Meliodas: Please, big brother, it's not too late to stop this.

Said Meliodas causing Ian to turn his gaze back to him.

Ian: Are you still on that?

Meliodas: Yeah, and I'll never stop until you see reason. Listen Ian I get it, you're mad you lost everything, but destroying everything won't fix what happened to you it won't bring Katherine back. Do you think she'd want you to do this?

Meliodas: When I found out about the curses that were placed on Elizabeth and me, I was furious. I wondered why the world the world would deal us this hand when all we wanted was to live in peace and be free to love each other. There were countless times where I thought of just giving up on this world of ours, but I didn't.
