Last we left off, Elizabeth ended up reuniting with Zaratras, who helped her see Meliodas's memories. Not only that, but we also learned that Meliodas has a curse on him that returns him to life when he dies. While that was happening, the Commandments managed to break through Liones. However, Estarossa was challenged by Escanor, while Mikaela, who was able to bounce back from his depression thanks to Ban and Guila's help, was challenged by Zeldris while Ian was watching the battles through magic.
We now see Mikaela blocking a sword slash from Zeldris, who was glaring at him before delivering a high kick at Zeldris while they were locking blades. Mikaela then proceeded to switch to his Godess Mode before his eyes proceeded to glow golden. That's when Mikaela unleashed a Ray Stinger, and Zeldris, who quickly dove under the laser beam, planted his hand in the ground before proceeding to kick Mikaela in the abdomen, sending him sliding back. However, Mikaela quickly recovered and switched back to his Demon Mode before pointing his finger at Zeldris as darkness began gathering at its tip, causing Zeldris's eyes to widen as Mikaela unleashed a Cero Oscuras at him, which hit him dead, creating a massive explosion that shook the kingdom and destroyed a couple of buildings.

As the smoke cleared Mikaela widened his eyes in shock to see Zeldris walk out completely unharmed.
