disclaimers: i dont own agggtm and ive said that 6 times. oh and im listening to the grudge by olivia rodrigo while writing this.

her parents were arguing, and to make matter worse it was about her and her sister.
leanne thought they were spending too much time of their summer on schoolwork and she wasnt happy with that. victor wasnt happy that leanne said that. leanne was mad that victor misunderstood her, she only thought that pip was obsessing over andie bells case and that it wasnt good for her and that she was pulling amaris into it. victor thaought that pip should be free to make her own mistakes (or good choices) and that leanne should be happy amaris was finally focussing in something related to school. leanne thinks that victor is wrong and amaris shouldnt be focussing on school during summer. victor said that it was a win yo get her to focus on school anytime.
amaris ended up not listening anymore. as pip called emma hutton, one of andies friends, amaris layed on her bed reading harry potter, blocking out both her parents mufgled argument and pips voice as she talked to emma.
after getting off the phone with emma pip types everything up on her computer before turning yo her sister.
"okay mari what is up with you and ravi?"
"what do you mean?"
"well at the store he was all like 'if i didnt i wouldnt have run into you, moon' and you were like blushing and shit."
"i didnt blush, and nothings going on. we just met, pipsqueak."
"okay but you totally blushes and he was totally flirting with you."
"i did not and he was not, pip, stop it."
"okay okay."

"i hate camping." Lauren complains as her, cara, pip, and amaris stand in the small clearing that they would set their tent up in.
"yea, well its my birthday and i like it." cara reaponds reading the instructions to the tent.
"It’s technically illegal to camp outside of a registered campsite," lauren grumples and amaris rolls her eyes sometimes lauren would really get on her nerves. but whenever amaris would voice her annoyance lauren would make a comment that amaris wasnt even apart of the friend group so nobody cared about her opinion, and it was technically true. amaris wasnt apart of the friend group, she was barely friends with ant and lauren. she did consider herself  friends with zach, considering that they were neighbors.  cara was a friend but only because of pip, and excluding pip, conner wa sthe only one who was really amaris friend.
"Well, let’s hope the camping police don’t check Instagram, because I’ve announced it to the world. Now shush, I’m trying to read."
"um cara," pip says pulling everyomes attention to her, "you know this isnt a tent you bought, its a marquee."
"same differance, and we have to fit us and the three boys in it."
"but it comes with no floor." amaris speaks up and pip nods.
"you come with no floor." cara says back and amaris head tilts in confusion. "and my dad packed us a ground sheet."
"when are the boys getting here?" lauren asks and amaris has to stop herself from rolling her eyes, in her opinion lauren was one of those girls that strived for guys to be looking at them all the time.
"they texted that they were leaving about two minutes ago. and no were nit waiting for them to put it up for us." cara snaps and amaris brings her hand up to cover her smile.
"i wasnt suggesting that."
"dismantling the patriarchy, one tent at a time." cara cracks her knuckles.
"marquee." pip cirrects.
"do you want me to hurt you?"
"no-quee." pip says and cara turns to amaris who was smiling at her phone.
"your sisters weird. mari?" cara calls out making amaris look up.
"hmm, what? oh i know shes weird."
cara then turns to pip and opens her mouth but pip cuts her off, "shes probably texting ravi."
"ravi singh?" lauren asks in disgust.
"yes, ravi singh. he happens to be nice. and nothing like you so thats a win." amaris snaps and lauren scoffs.
"holy pepperoni." pip mumbles shocked by her sisters words.

ten minutes later and the marquee was fully set up and it was 6:30 the sun getting ready to set in 15 minutes, but there would still be some twighlight lit hours before it got super dark.
"This is going to be so fun." Cara stood back to admire their handiwork. "I love camping. I’m gonna have gin and strawberry laces until I puke. I don’t want to remember a thing tomorrow."
"Admirable goals." amaris compliments.
"Do you two want to go and grab the rest of the food from the car? me and mari will lay out our sleeping bags and put up the sides. dont forget the flashlights."
pip set up the walls while amaris stood inside laying out the sleeping bags, a twig snapped making her stick her head out of the marquee only to see it was nothing and go back inside.
just as the two girls finished their jobs they heard the boys and cara and lauren make their way to them.
"hey," conner says. "Oh damn, the girls got the best sleeping spots. We’ve been pipped to the post."
"hilarious, con. i didnt even lay out the sleeping bags, mari did."
"oh, so you just hate me, mari?"
"yes."
"Aw, don’t feel too bad, Connor. Maybe if you were a piece of homework she’d want to do you."
"or in your case, ravi singh." cara leans toward amaris to whisper to her, earning a playful glare.
"homework is far more rewarding than boys. and you cant talk, ant, you have the sex life of an argonaut mollusc."
"which means?" ant asks.
"well, an argonaut mollusc’s penis snaps off during intercourse, so it can only ever have sex once in its whole life." pip says and amaris stifles her laugh.
"i can confirm." lauren says and the group falls into laughter. lauren and ant had something that fell apart last year.
"absolutely savage." conner chuckles.

--

amaris wasnt paying attention to ants ghost story as she takes photos of the group, deciding that she'd add a few of these to her scrapbook and a few to her photo wall.
"mari tell lauren to stop being a pussy and play the ouija board." zach calls out and amaris rolls her eyes.
"why would i do tha-"
"guys, no one look now but i think theres someones in the trees. watching us."
"its probably amaris's little boyfriend, ravi, coming to murder her like his-"
"lauren shut the fuck up." amaris snaps quietly.
'where?' conner mouths.
"my ten o-clock." pip whispers.
suddenly conner grabs a flashlight and runs out of the marquee, yelling, "hey pervert!"
the fitz-amobi girls react faster than the others, springing up and running after conner.
"conner! conner, wait!" pip yells as darkness encompasses them. amaris grabs her sisters hand, not wanting them to get seperated, as they ran through the darkness barely lit by the flashlight in pips hand.
amaris could hear their names being called and one of the girls screamed.
amaris felt like she couldnt breathe her chest was heaving.
"pip, mari." they heard ants voice behind them, "wheres con?"
pip pointed the flashlight forward as her and amaris panted not havung enough air in their lungs to talk yet
ant ran forward faster than the two girls.
pip swerved to avoid running into the two boys they had run up on. amaris however didnt react as fast and ran straight into conner.
"sorry." she mumbles.
"pip you ok?" ant asks hellping her up.
"yea," pip breaths out heavily, "conner what the hell?"
"i lost him. i think i lost him a while back.
"it was man?" amaris asks "did you see him?" pip adds.
"No, I didn’t see it was a man, but it had to be, right? I only saw that they were wearing a dark hood. Whoever it was ducked out of the way while my torch was down, and I stupidly kept following the same path." commer shakes his head.
"stupidly chesed him in the first place." pip mumbles angrily.
"by yourself too!" amaris adds annoyed.
"Obviously! Some pervert in the woods at midnight, watching us and probably touching himself. Wanted to beat the crap out of him."
"That was needlessly dangerous. What were you trying to prove?" pip asks just before zach emerges from the woods and runs into her and ant.
"what the hell?" zach exclaims before a scream could be heard zach curses before turning on his heel and sprinting back the way he came.
pip and the other 3 following behind.
30 seconds later the found the girls holding eachother both crying.
"what happened why'd you scream?" pip asks wrapping her arms around both of them.
"Because we got lost and the flashlight smashed and we’re drunk." cara says.
"Why didn’t you stay in the marquee?" conner asks
"Because you all left us." Lauren cries.
"ok ok, We’ve all overreacted a bit. Everything’s fine; we just need to head back to the marquee. They’ve run off now, whoever it was and there are six of us, OK? We’re all fine." pip reassures wiping laurens tears.
fifteen minutes later and they were silently cleaning up the marquee before getting into their sleeping bags.
"i guessing no ouija board then?" ant asks.
"i think we've had enough scares for one night." pip says forcing cara to drink water.
zach and lauren were asleep but conner and ant we're still up and whispering.
amaris was dismantling her camera and putting it away when pip got into her sleeping bag. amaris grabs her camera bag opening it and going to put the camera away but stopping when she sees a folded paper inside she heard pip saying something to the boys as she opened the small paper.
stop digging, amaris
amaris breath hitches in her throat.
"i didnt leave ypu a note." amaris hear ant say to pip as she storms over.
"really, because i have one too, right here."
"was this whole, stranger-in-the-woods thing a set up too? part of your joke? who was it, your friend george?" pip angrily asks ant.
"no, pip. Honestly don’t know what you’re talking about. What do the notes say?"
"save the innocent act." amaris sneers.
"conner anything to add?" pip asks
"pip, mari, you think i would have chased that pervert so hard if it was just a prank? we didn’t plan anything, i promise." conner says looking solely at pip.
“you’re saying neither of you left me and mari the notes?"
both the boys nodded.
"your both so full of shit." amaris spits before turning on her heal and going to her sleeping. she puts her camera in the camera bag and then into her backpack before settiling into the sleeping bag and closing her eyes.
stop digging, amaris
the words stayed with her. even with her eyes closed she saw them. it was just a dumb joke.
