Amaris had her eyes glued to the forest floor eyes searching but not taking in any information, her fingers closed around Ravi's hand the second he had arrived at pips search team. There'd been 88 volunteers that showed up thirty went with Conner, 29 with Cara, and 29 with pip.
Ravi told them it had been Max's turn on the stand and Max and his lawyer had done an alright job. They'd prepared an answer to everything the prosecution threw at him in cross-examination. Closing remarks from both sides had followed and then the judge sent the jury off to deliberate.

"I can't wait to see his face tomorrow when he goes down. Wish I could record it for you," ravi tells them using his foot to check a bush as he shrugs his jacket off and hooks it around Mari's shoulders.

"Jamie!" Someone called farther up they had set up a chain to do the calling a while again but Mari was too out of it to acknowledge when it was her turn so Ravi and pip had taken turns picking it up when it was her turn.

"Jamie!" Pip called as she slowed checking beneath a tree root and then checked her phone

"Jamie!" Ravi called stalling as Mari stopped when her sister didn't.

"Hey," pop answered her phone mouthing 'Cara' to amaris who tugged on Ravi's hand moving closer "what is it?" Pip asked after Cara talked panic riding her voice, "Where are you?" After a few seconds she answered "On my way,"

"What?" Mari asks her sister when she hangs up

"Cara found something, at the Farmhouse" pip says

"The one that...." Amaris trails off but pop knew the ending the one that Becca hid Andies body in for 5 years.

They were running, the three of them racing up sycamore rd the farmhouse coming into view as they drew near amaris staggered heavy weight falling on her chest and pip trips on the gravel Ravi's hand reaching out to grab their arms steady them mutter about how he could tell they were twins. Cara was standing in front of the group with Naomi waving them over.

"What is it?" Pip asks, breathlessly "What did you find?"
"It's over there, in the long grass at the bottom of those trees." Naomi points

"It's a knife," cara says

"A knife?" Pip repeats and Mari's stomach drops and before they two even make ig within eye shot they knew what the knife looked like. And as they bent down with rave their guesses were proved true, it was a gray bladed knife with a yellow band on the handle. Mari felt sick her blood draining from her face  Ravi crouched beside amaris as the two stare at the knife.

"Thats the one missing from the Reynoldses' kitchen, isn't it?" Ravi guesses reading his girlfriend's face.

"There's no blood at least" amaris whispers hands shaking as pip took a picture and stood walking to Cara.

"Ok, Cara, can you call Connor, tell him to let everyone on his team go and come over here, right now." Pip orders

"On it," Cara nods

"Naomi, when Cara's done, can you tell her to call Zach to dismiss my search team as well?" Pip tells naomi and turns to Mari and Ravi. "I'm gonna call the station and make sure that it gets to the chain of custody.

"Hell Eliza. Yes, it's Pip Fitz-Amobi. Yep. Is anyone in at the station? Uh-huh. Could you do me a favour and ask anyone who's free to come over to the farmhouse on Sycamore Road in Fairview? Yes that's where Andie B— No, this is about an open missing persons case. Jamie Reynolds. I've found a knife that's connected to his case, and it needs to be collected and documented properly as evidence. I know I'm supposed to call the other number . . . could you just, this one favour, Eliza, I swear, just this once." Amaris listens to pips end of the conversation "Thank you, thank you." Pip walks back to her sister who was pale faced and chewing her nails as Ravi tried to soothe her. "15 minutes." She tells them before turning to Ravi. "Can you keep everyone back from those trees?" She asks naomi and turns towards the farmhouse "come on"
