amaris had her head laying on his shoulder as he clicked through the photos people had sent in from the memorial while pip across from them looked through calamity photos and videos.

"you’re going too fast," pip says peering over the top of her laptop to look at ravi who wasnt even looking at the photos instead smiling down at amaris,"we need to look carefully at each one." she says pointedly

"oh," ravi drawls out sarcastically, "didn’t realize we were looking for clues in the night sky, did you know about this, maris?" Ravi asks playfully as he flips the laptop around so that pip could see the photos that were just the night sky and lanterns.

"no, I didn't but I did know that my baby sister is a huge micromanager." amaris says scrubbing her nose up as she sent her sister her look of endearment.

"I was just checking. God I hate you two when your together. it's like automatically just cause your both here you have to tease and poke fun at me." pip mumbles making mari laugh.

"your my baby sister, it's my job to 'poke fun at you'." amaris says smiling at pip.

"yea whatever." pip rolls her eyes as she goes back to looking at her laptop

"i this the best use of our time?" ravi asks as he skips through another sequence of sky photos, "we know jamie went to the calamity party after the memorial, and now we know he left there, alive and well, at half ten. shouldn’t we be trying to track down his movements after that?"

"we know he left the calamity party. but we still don’t know why he was there." pip answers and mari nods.

"which is strange enough by itself. and then you can add the phone conversation george heard. it’s all out of character behavior, you saw conners reaction when i texted him about the calamity, it's all so.... weird. there’s no other word for it. jamie’s behaviour was weird, starting at the memorial. it has to all be connected to his disapearence somehow." amaris adds

"i guess." ravi tore his eyes away from amaris- which, when your ravi, is very fucking hard to do-- and looked back at his laptop, "so, we’re thinking jamie spotted “someone” – whoever they are – at the memorial. he found them in the crowd and waited, then he followed them when they walked towards highmoor and into the party. gropey stephen said it looked like jamie was just standing there, watching?" amaris snorts at ravis words, not that the situation was funny because it wasnt, she just found it funny how the nickname she had used once while explaining to Ravi what Stephen had did to pip stuck. she had even heard pip use it, though the way she and Ravi said it were complete opposites. Ravi always seemed to spit the two words out whenever he said them, amaris figured he was still very pissed at stephen and spitting out the words 'gropey stephen' was the only way to do it because she had threatened to break up with ravi if he hit stephen, like he had wanted to, for touching pip-- who he had considered his little sister.

"i think so." pip chews her lip, which was normally amaris' thing, "that makes most sense to me. which means that “someone” is most likely a person at school, in my year or maybe year below."

"why would jamie follow someone from your school?" Ravi asks, a certain uneasiness in his voice that made amaris sigh and pips protectivness-- that she had with anyone important to her-- flare.

"look, ravi, we really don’t know." amaris answers instead knowing that pip wanted to say something to defend jamie but she didn't have anything to say. amaris stood up and went over to their pantry sighing as she looked for something that wouldn't fill her up seeing as her parents and Josh would be back from the supermarket soon. she settles on a container of glazed almonds and making her way back to the table.

"almonds? seriously?" Ravi sends her a look that she knew to be him telling her to eat something that was actual food.

"mom and dad are bound to be back from the store soon." amaris explains as she pops several almonds into her mouth. "speaking of......... could you maybe, possibly, stay so that they don't yell at us tonight. I don't want to deal with it until I've actually had sleep."

"maris." Ravi sends her a look and she's sighs.

"fine hate me then." amaris mumbles and Ravi snorts.

"you know damn fucking well I don't hate you, love."

"guys," pip speaks up and the couole turn to look at him, "i found him,"
