disclaimers: I don't own aggtm and I'm currently listening to i know the end
amaris and ravi were blissfully unaware of any of the conversations going on around them, they were two entrapped by eachother to pay attention to them. amaris, who had already finished her food, sat sideways laughing and giggling about the lecture she had received from mrs morgan because she cussed on stage, ravi was eating and listening to her rambling that would get off topic as random shit came to her mind.
across the table Victor and Leanne observed them with small smiles, they had noticed that amaris had been perfectly fine with staying at the table until everyone else was finished.
"mom, ravi and I are gonna go on a walk." amaris says as she picks up her and ravis empty dishes and moves to put them in the dishwasher.
"okay, be careful."
"so...." ravi says after a minute of walking in silence.
"so?" amaris questions, her eyes on the ground as she kicks pebbles.
"so what are we doing? are we just walking or do we have a destination?"
"yea we're going to the park."
ravi nods and the two fall silent again. the only sound coming from the cars passing them on the street, amaris was content with the silence. she loved the silence because with ravi the silence wasn't awkward or uncomfortable; with her sun the silence was soothing.
"you know i think sal would be really proud of me."
"yea?"
"mhm, i helped clear his names and I found my girl while doing so." ravi wraps his arm around her shoulder bringing her closer as she stares at the ground, her cheeks pink and a wide smile on her face.
"you think he wouldve liked me- like if we'd actually gotten to know each other." amaris asks as she toys with the hem of his shirt.
"yea," ravi nods after thinking for a bit, "i mean you make me happy so theres no doubt he wouldve loved you for that."
amaris nods as the two turn the corner and head towards the empty swings in the corner of the park. it was past sunset so the park was relatively empty except for a few scattered high schoolers and little kids playing tag.
they had made it halfway to the swings when some kids rand past them, though ravi played no mind to the children, instead his focus was on his girlfriend- he still wasn't used to calling her that, yes he had been calling her his for awhile before they were official, but now she actually was his, and he was hers- his eyes were trailing over her face and hair that was slightly coming loose from her green claw clip, he loved when she wore green because it really matched and brought out her eyes and amaris's whole outfit that day was green, from her thick- slightly oversized green sweater- to her green and white nikes. hell, even her usual phone case had been swapped out for a green one. ravi really didn't have the words to describe how fucking beautiful he though she was. she was, without a doubt, the most heavenly person to walk this earth apart from Jesus himself.
amaris, similarly, was focussed solely on ravi. though her mind wasn't admiring his feature like it normally would, instead she thought about how if elliot hadn't murdered sal, amaris and ravi might not have ended up together because amaris and ravi met due to pips plan to find the truth for sal; that said truth being that elliot ward had killed him. so in some alternate universe where elliot didn't kill sal, amaris and ravi never met, never shared their first kiss, never became a couple. in some other place the sun and the moon weren't together and to amaris if the sun and moon weren't together than the whole galaxy would be out of balance, which meant that, in a fucked up way, amaris was glad elliot killed sal. that was wrong. it was worse than wrong it was disgusting. amaris was disgusted with herself. how-
amaris was pulled out of her thoughts by ravi placing a kiss on her temple and mumbling, "thank you."
her brows furrow, "for what?"
"for being you; making me happy. when you showed up with pip on my doorstep i never expected you to be the person who brought me out of my vat of sadness."
"there's no reason for you to thank me for that, ravi," amaris mumbles back moving to stand in front of him, her hands moving to cup his face, "really no need."
"I want to thank you though, so thank you." ravis hands move to rest on her waist. amaris shakes her head mumbling something that ravi couldn't quite catch before she pulls him into a soft kiss. ravi sighs into the kiss contently as her familiar presence fills his scences: the taste of her lips softly pressing against his, her finger tips brushing his jawline, her watermelon scent filling his nose. God, he was falling- in all actuality it's like he dug a hole and purposefully fell into it and he did not give a damn.
his grip tightens on her waist as he tugs her flush against him, they were unaware of the fleeting light surrounding them or the parents rounding up their kids to take them home. amaris hadn't even noticed the mosquitos, which she normally complain about, she didn't care that they bit her because in that moment all that mattered was her and ravi. kissing, connected in every way the could be like the sun and moon during an eclipse.
all that mattered was her boyfriend, her boyfriend whom she had tripped and fallen for.
her boyfriend was the only thing that mattered to her in this moment.
