amaris was happy- ecstatic even- all day, nothing could bring her down. when she woke up to ravis good morning text she completly forgot about the whole laptop threat thing and all that filled her mind was him and their date. so nothing could bring her down. not elliots creepy stares, not seeing nat walk out of the school, not lauren's stupid comments, nothing. or so she thought because when she opened her locker after lunch, something did bring her down.
there is sat right in the middle of the organized mess her locker was, it was pinned to the inside of her locker door right infront of the photo of her and her sister last halloween. the stupid printed words staring at her, taunting her. there was no way it was a coincidence it was infront of the photo of her and pip. the bell rung but amaris didnt hear it, she didnt see the students rushing to class all she saw was the paper.
This is offically your final warning, amaris. Walk away.
she shut her eyes tight, and grabbed the paper crumpling it and throwing it in her backpack before closing the locker and walking silently to class.

amaris sat next to cara as their teacher went on and on about some rule that the class had broken.
"hey, cara?" amaris whispers grabbing caras attention.
"whats up?"
"could you come over later and help me get ready?"
"for what? oh my God amaris fitz- amobi do you have a date?" cara whispers to amaris who just smiles and looks down, "you do! is it with ravi? zach owes me twenty bucks."
"you bet on me and ravi?"
"oh yes easiest twenty bucks ever. ill ride with you and pip that way i dont have to walk ill tell my dad as soon as we are out of this class. oh this is going to be so much fun."

amaris sat in her desk chair as cara did her hair, pip was going through amaris's side of the closet.
"where do you think hes taking you?" cara asks
"i dont know, i just hope its not somewhere expensive."
"most want somewhere expensive."
"i dont want him to waste his money on me."
"im sure he woulnt think its a waste." pip says taking out a dress, "youre wearing this."
amaris looks over at it and nods, she liked that dress, it was light green and semi flowy. "oh that works great ill use these green butterfly clips." cara says, she had down amariss hair in a half up half down hairstyle. two mini french braids in the top of her head the green clips at the end of them. pip handed her the dress and pushed her to the bathroom so she could get dressed. after she had she let cara do her make up-- which just consisted of mascara and green eyeliner-- before she put on the shoes pip had handed her, they were her green converse. when ravi texted her saying he was almost there, she grabbed her jacket and purse only for pip to take the jacket.
"pip its gonna get cold." amaris practically whines.
"so youll use his jacket." pip says and cara nods.
"but then he'll get cold."
"no boys are always warm. its weird."
"and if he does get cold you two will hever to get closer for warmth." cara adds with a smile. amaris rolls her eyes ready to reapond but the knock on the bedroom door pulls her attention.
"ravi's here and he has flowers." josh says, "you look pretty." he adds and amaris smiles widely thanking him before pulling him into a hug.
amaris could see ravi standing by the door, flowers in hand just like josh had said. he wore one of his nicer shorts and pants.
"moon." he breaths out looking at her completly in awe. "these are for you."
pink carnations, her favorite. she smiles and takes them from her, "thank you, they are very pretty."
"pretty flowers for a pretty girl." he says with a smile, cara moves forward and takes the flowers.
"ill put these in a vase on your desk." she says before walking away, pip steps forward.
"dont worry, sarge, ill have her back before its late." he says.
"okay, now go. and have fun." pip ushers them out of the house.

ravi led amaris through the park with a smile, his hand was in hers as he guided her to the picnic he set up.
"ravi." she mumbles when she sees the picnic. maybe it was cliche or whatever but she loved picnics and this one was beautiful, the blanket was layed out under a tree so there was shade and there were two picnic baskets ontop of it, closed so ants wouldnt get in. there was another bouquet of flowers these ones a mix of differant lilies.
"josh said you liked picnics so i figured you'd like this." ravi says after amaris didnt talk for a minute, "but if you dont we can scrap this and do whatever you want."
"no, its beautiful thank you ravi, i love it." amaris says turning towards him, he leads them to the blanket and sits down amaris following in suit as he took out the food.

amaris hadnt realized how long theyd talked until she saw the sun setting. she let out a breath, "its so pretty." she whispers.
ravi nods, "yes it is." he says although he wasnt even looking at the setting sun instead he was looking at amaris and admiring the way the light fell on her face. he also noticed her hugging herself for warmth and the goosebumps on her arms. he drapes his jacket of her shoulders without a word or any hesitation. amaris slips her arms into the sleeves without a word. the silence was delicate and comforting.
he watched her as she watched the sky, she could see him out of the corner of her eye but didnt want to look away from the perfect sky, when she did she was immediately stuck entranced by his eyes. they watched eachother in silence for what felt like hours, neither of them really noticing the space between there lips closing until eacis hand foumd the side of her face. his thumb ran over her bottom lip, "can i....." he trailed off but amaris knew what he meant so she nodded.
the kiss was soft and slow, she felt like she was floating in the clouds. ravi singh was kissing her, his hand on her cheek, her hands were sliping to were his hair met his neck, her fingers getting lost in said hair, his other hand on her waist pulling her closer, his lips on hers. there was no way this was real.
he pulled away first, his chest burning from lack of air and the fact that he had just kissed amaris fitz-amobi. their breaths were heavy, mixing together because his forhead was resting against hers. his eyes danced between her eyes and her lips.
her breaths were still uneven but she couldnt wait anymore she connected their lips again, this kiss was more tough and not as slow. his hands found her waste and stayed there, her hands were still lost in his hair as she pulled him closer.
her lips tasted like the strawberries they had just ate, he pulled her into his lap, deepening the kiss and eliciting a small giggle from her.
she pulled away this time, making him groan slightly and chase her lips, she giggles again as she watches him.
she opens her mouth to speak but is cut off by rain falling onto them.
"when the fuck did it start raining." she asks with a giggle as she stands, ravi stands aswell, stuffing the blanket and empty food containers into the picnic baskets. holdinc them in one hand he grabs hers with the other and pulls them to the car before they could get soaked.
