"weighing it up, i think we can confirm that Andie stayed at the Ivy House Hotel." pip says as she, amaris, and ravi walk from the fairview train station to pips car.
"if Andie was going to that hotel, must be because that’s where she met Secret Older Guy and they were both trying to avoid getting caught." ravi comments
"so," pip says nodding, "that means that whoever Secret Older Guy was he couldn’t have Andie over at his house."
"and the most likely reason for that would be that he lived with his family or a wife." amaris adds to pips words, they seemed to do this more than not--- it annoyed the high heavens out of ravi sometimes.
"daniel da silva lived with his new wife in 2012 and max hastings was living with his parents who knew Sal well. both of them would have needed to be away from home to carry on a secret relationship with Andie." pip carries on and amaris mind flashes to elliot, she couldnt shake the feeling that he was the secret older guy--- and not just because of he constantly hits om her. "and, let’s not forget, Max has a naked photo of Andie taken inside the Ivy House Hotel, a photo he supposedly “found”," pip used air quotes around the last word indicating her disbelief
"yeah, but howie bowers lived alone then. If it was him andie was secretly seeing, they wouldn’t have needed to stay in a hotel." ravi says.
amaris couldnt help but think that maybe they shouldnt have ruled out elliot. but how was she supposed voice that concern, it would raise questions. questions that amaris was too ashamed to answer because she feared everyone would blame her.
amaris absentmindly got into pips car not listening to pip and ravi she did however catch sight of max hastings and howie bowers.
"what the fuck?" she mumbles and glances over at pip who had started the car, the lok on her face telling amaris that she too had saw him. amaris then shifted her gaze to favi who held a similar expression to the ones that the two twins held.

amaris sat on her phone as pip and conner laughed on the other end of the couch. amaris had decided she wanted to play bit of matchmaker that night and had invited conner over like they planned at school, the only problem was, it was hard to play matchmaker when pip and amaris had to babysit josh. however, an idea crept into amaris's head, she stands up and makes her way to the kitchen where josh was finishing some homework.
"hey joshy, you wanna go out? we can go get ice cream or something." amaris says sitting down next to him.
"but i havent got to talk to conner yet," josh frowns, "i need advice."
"i can-"
"from a guy. guys understand eachother."
amaris rolls her eyes, "alright how bout i take you to a different guy?"
"your boyfriend?" josh asks his eyes wide.
"yea no hes not my boyfriend but he is a guy."
"okay i guess we can go to him."
"alright. go put a jacket and shoes on." amaris rushes josh who runs off doing what she said. amaris walks over to the living room where conner and pip still sat.
"hey, pip, im taking josh to ravi's. we'll be back later but if mom and dad comes back befores can you tell em where we are?"
"yea sure, have fun mari." pip says and amaris nods.

ravi smiles when he opens the door to see amaris, standing on his porch. she had changed from earlier and was in a pair of runners shorts and a hoodie, her feet were in simple socks and slides. ravi's eyes dance over her face, smiling at the way the face framing layers of her hair fell out of the low bun she had tied her hair in.
"moon, did you bring barney?" ravi asks jokingly.
"no. but i brought my brother." amaris side steps so that josh was in view. ravi tilts his head in confusion but smiles nonetheless.
"hi, im ravi." he sticks out his hand, josh smiles and takes it.
"im josh."
"you wanna come in?"
"please. its actually cold out here so my legs and hands are freezing." amaris says and ravi opens the door more, taking a step back. amaris takes the fisrt step, pushing josh forward with her hand.
"so, why are you at my house for the second time today?" ravi asks closing the door.
"wow, that sounded so unwelcoming."
"sorry i- you know youre always welcome here, moon." ravi looks down at amaris with a small smile, "you too josh." he adds, a little louder so that josh can here him.
"im playing matchmaker with pip and one of our friends, to do that i needed to get josh out of the house, but apparently he needs advice. from a guy."
"really, is that so josh?" ravi asks josh who nods repetitively.
"okay then, why dont i give you advice while we play one of my games." ravi suggests leading them to the living room, his parents were upstairs, probably in bed or watching a movie.
josh's eyes go wide and her smiles, "can we?"
"ofcourse." ravi nods, and josh turns exitedly to amaris.
"mari, i love your boyfriend." he says and amaris nearly stops breathing.
"hes not my boyfriend." she mumbles while looking anywhere but ravi, earlier she was embarrassed some but its nothing compared to when her own brother calls ravi her boyfriend and infront of him.
ravi smiles at the red blush that had tinted amaris's face, "hey, buddy go pick out a game while i get your sister a blanket." he tells josh who complies rather quickly.
ravi and amaris were in silence when they went up to his room to grab throw blankets, they didnt break the silence until they made it to the kitchen.
"do you want anything? to eat, or drink?" ravi asks and amaris shakes her head, yawning. "maybe you should take a nap, moon."
"no im not even tired."
"okay." ravi shrugs as they walk into the living room.
amaris took a spot on the end of the couch while ravi and josh sat on the ground, playing mario kart. amaris watched them, not paying enough attention to decipher their words but she watched, until her eyelids began to feel heavy and sleep sounded oh so good. soon enough she was asleep and ravi had finnish his advice to josh-- which if your curious was about joshs crush not playing with him at recess.
ravi glanced back at amaris, she was curled up in the corner of the couch, she had garbbes one if ravis sweaters off the back of the couch and was using that as a pillow, the blanket ravi had given her was wrapped tightly around her, and her was falling into her closed eyes.
"hey, josh," ravi calls out getting joshs attention, "do you think i could get your advice on something?" his eyes were on amaris but out of the corner of his vision he could see josh nod, ravi takes a deep breath before opening his mouth to speak.
