disclaimers: I don't own ggbb and I have no idea how to actually write kiss scenes cause I've never been kissed so if any of my kiss scenes have sucked that's why lmaooo.

"sorry," conner says as he runs up to the trio, "was helping mom call the hospitals again. nothing . . . hi, ravi.’

"hey," ravi says, putting his hand on conners shoulder as a silence passes between them along with a look of understanding, "we’ll find him, these two are way too stubborn not to." Ravi points at pip before pointing at mari. conner lips turn up in a strained smile.

"right, these are for you." pip pulls out the big stack of posters and hands them to mari who seperate them into two stacks and hand them to conner and ravi.

"the ones in plastic"-- amaris points at the ones in her boyfriends hands--"are for windows and outside."

"ones without are for posting through doors. make sure you get them up all over the high street, and the roads down by the common. and all your neighbours, connor. did you bring the stapler?" pip asks

"yep, got two and some tape," conner nods

"good. we should get going." pip says turning and heading to fairview mail.

"okay, well I'll see you guys later. don't get in trouble, please." amaris says going on her tip toes to give ravi a goodbye kiss before rushing to follow her sister.

------

"hi," pip says loudly making the woman in front of Fairview mail jump.

"oh. oh, it’s you guys. van I help you with something?" the woman asks going through her keys trying to find the right one.

"is stanley forbes in?" pip asks.

"he should be." the woman nods as she finally unlocks the door "we’ve got the write-up of the memorial to sort out before we print today, so he asked me to come in and help. after you," she says and the two teens walk in first with her following behind.

"i'm pip, this mari my sister." pip says and the woman nods

"yes, i know who you two are, i’m mary, mary scythe."

"pleased to meet you, again," pips words weren't really true because Mary seemed to be the type who blamed pip and mari for everything that happened last year. amaris kept quiet as she followed the woman into the room with all the desks, Stanley was sat in the back faced away from him as he scrolled through what seemed to be Facebook on his computer.

"hi, stanley," pip says softly but Stanley didn't seem to have heard her so mari tried next

"stanley?" he didn't move a signal muscle and there was no way he couldn't have heard her.

"honestly, he does this all the time. has the most selective hearing I’ve ever come across. tunes the whole world out. Oi stan!" Mary calls out and he finally turns to look at them.

"oh sorry, were you talking to me?" he asks his eyes jumping between the three.

"no one else in the room," Mary scoffs

"hi," pip says walking closer to him amaris following her.

"h-hello." Stanley extanded his hand but then took it back with an embarrassed laugh only to extend it agian.

pip shook his hand but when he directed the hand at amaris she just stared at it, then him. amaris was definitely still holding a grudge for everything he said about her boyfriends family.

"sorry." Stanley mumbled lowering his hand "what can I . . . what do you –"

"i know the memorial will probably take up a lot of room in tomorrow’s paper. but could you make space, for this?" pip handed Stanley one of the poster amaris had made.

"missing, is he? jamie reynolds." Stanley says looking down at the poster

"know him?" amaris asks trying to identify what the sliver of a look was in his eyes.

"don’t think so, might recognize the face. is he from fairview?" Stanley looks up at the teens

"yep. family live on cedar way. jamie went to school, with andie and sal." pip answers

"missing since when?" Stanley questions.

"it says there." amaris snapped growing inpatient with stanley.

"last seen around eight o’clock at the memorial, until I learn more about his movements. I saw you taking photos, could you email those to me?" pip says shorting her sister a look

"er, yes, ok. police?" Stanley nods

"a missing person report has been filed, police response is non-existent right now. so, it’s just me and mari that’s why I need your help." pip smile was strained.

"missing since the memorial? that’s only, like, a day and a half, right?" Stanley was beginning to annoy amaris to the point where she was stopping herself from snapping at him every two seconds.

"thirty-seven and a half hours." pip nods

"that’s not very long, is it?" he lowers the poster onto his desk.

"missing is missing," amaris says with slight hostility

"and the first seventy-two hours are critical, especially if you suspect foul play." pip adds

"do you?" the unfamiliar look passes through Stanleys eyes again.

"yes," pip nods, "the family do too. so, will you help? can you print that notice tomorrow?"

"suppose I can move the article about the potholes until next week." Stanley shrugs

"is that a yes?" amaris asks

"yes, I’ll make sure it goes in. though I’m sure he’ll turn up ok." Stanley nods with a polite smile

"thank you, stanley. really appreciate that." pip returned his smile and turned heading for the door amaris by her side but just before they made it out of the door stanleys voice filled their ears

"mysteries always seem to find their way to you two, don’t they?" he was right they do but amaris wished he wasn't because amaris didn't want to solve mysteries she just wanted to live a normal life with her boyfriend and family.
