she wasnt sure she was breathing, she couldn't hear anything and her chest was heaving. her face pale and eyes locked on the screen. maybe if she stared long enough the words would disappear, maybe rearrange to new ones, maybe if she stared then the time would reverse and she wouldn't be in this situation. but it didn't, the staring didn't work and the words stared back at here taunting her

"what the fuck does that mean? pip? Mari?" Conner spoke but the words were faraway to Amaris overbeared by her ragged breaths and pounding heart.
"um," was all that came out of pips mouth
"she knew it was you," ravi wraps his arms around his girlfriend hi hand in her hair forcing her head into his chest pressing a kiss on the top of her head. "she knows who you guys are"
"what does "you're getting closer" mean?" conner asks
"to finding jamie," pip says. Or finding out what happened were the words unspoken but hanging in the air
to Jamie, she thought to herself, which sounded almost the same but was very, very different. And Layla knew. Whoever Layla was, she knew everything, Pip was sure of that now.
"that smiley face, though." ravi mumbled holding Amaris tighter as she shivered
"I need to reply. now," pip mumbles typing out Who are you? Where's Jamie? but as she pressed send an error popped up. "no, Nononono. No," pip whisper growled "she's disabled her account."
"what?" Conner asks
"she's gone."
Ravi let go of his girlfriend hurrying to pips laptop and checking Laylas Facebook "fuck. she's deactivated her facebook too."
"and tinder," pip checks the app "she's gone. we lost her."
the room fell silent broken by Mari's whispers of 'fuck'
"she knows, doesn't she?" ravi asks his hand sliding down Amaris' arm to hold her hand. "layla knows what happened to Jamie."
"I dont like this" Conner shook his head
pip watched him whispering back, "i don't either."

their smiles were fake as they walked ravi to the door, only there for show for their dad, "done with your trial update, pickle?" victor asks clapping ravi on the back
"yeah. just uploaded it," pip answers
Conner left hours ago and the Fitz amobi family and ravi ate dinner before they recorded the trial update Amaris was still shaken from the text messages
"thanks for dinner, victor," ravi smiles at his girlfriends father squeezing Amaris' hand before opening the door
"oh," a voice spoke just outside the door their fist held up ready to knock
"oh," ravi reapeted and maris wen on her tip toes to look over Ravis shoulder to see who it was. Charlie green stood there with an awkward smile.
"hii, Ravi, Pip, mari. evening, Victor."
"hello, Charlie," victors voice was loud and sort of proud. the voice he used infront of guests "how can we help you?"
"sorry to disturb, I know it's getting late, and it's a school night, it's just . . . well, I saw your guys missing poster in the newspape. and, I think I have some information about Jamie Reynolds. there's something I should show you."
