On a Sunday afternoon, the sky was blue and clear. No white clouds in the noon time. Just a bright sunny Sunday afternoon.

In the town, there was a sweet shop and cafe called Ginkgo.

And inside of the Ginkgo Sweet Shop and Cafe, there are four girls together in one table.

Shijima Mei wears her bluish-teal dress shirt with her black dress shirt. Her dress shirt sleeves are short above her elbows.

Shijima Mei was confident. The brown-haired girl faced the girl with magenta eyes. "Thank you for inviting me, Nene!" She exclaimed.

Aoi Akane had her lilac-colored girly dress on. Her sleeves of her dress are half-long up to her upper arms.

And then, Aoi Akane made her gentle smile at Yashiro Nene. "Yes, thank you, Nene! It was really thoughtful of you!" She exclaims.

Yashiro Nene wore her mint-green girly dress. She has no sleeves of her dress.

Yashiro was smiling at Shijima and Aoi. "You're welcome! Sakura doesn't mind the more the merrier!" She exclaimed.

And then, Yashiro faces Nanamine Sakura to her left. "Right, roommate?" She asks.

Nanamine Sakura was wearing her honeycomb-colored long dress. Her long dress sleeves are longer to her wrists.

Sakura looks at Yashiro to her right. Sakura was bored yet making her slight smile. The girl with lime-green hair nodded her head. "Yes, Nene. I do like hanging out with just the girls." She answers.

Yashiro sits next Sakura. Sakura's between Yashiro and Shijima. And then, Aoi sat between Yashiro and Shijima in the whole table.

Aoi looked at Sakura. "Oh hey, Sakura, when do you and Nene become roommates? Just out of curiosity?" She wonders.

Sakura looks at Aoi. "Yesterday. Nene's grandfather offered me to stay at her home. It's this or the shelter. Your friend inspired me to stay at her house. I am glad to have a roommate for a change." She replies.

Shijima was puzzled at Sakura. "So you're homeless in the shelter before you live at Nene's house?" She asked.

Sakura nodded her head once at Shijima. "That is correct." She answered.

Aoi was bewildered at Sakura. "I can't believe how hard it was to live in the shelter." She commented.

Yashiro was baffled at the girl with lime-green hair. "Sakura, how long have you worked here? The Ginkgo Sweet Shop and Cafe?" She wondered.

Sakura glanced at Yashiro. "Four years." She replied.

Shijima puts her left index finger and thumb on her chin. "Then what about after your high school graduation? What have you been doing for two years?" She asks.

Sakura was bored yet confident. "I took culinary school classes." She answers.

Yashiro and Aoi are becoming beamed at Sakura.

Yashiro stands up first, placing her hands on the table. "You took culinary school?!" She blurts out.

Aoi stands up next, holding her own hands together. "Were you going to be a chef at the restaurant?!" She wonders in her exclamation.

Shijima was delighted at Sakura. "Do you know how to make pancakes?" She wonders too.

Sakura glances at Yashiro. "I have been to culinary school for two years. It was a lot to experience with hard work in the kitchen." She mentioned.

Sakura glanced at Aoi. "I can't say that I didn't try to get a job as a chef. None of the people who worked in restaurants are hiring. Every position has been taken." She replies.

And then, Sakura glances at Shijima. "And yes, I know how to make pancakes." She responds.

Shijima raises her both fists up. "I'm definitely visiting Nene's house next time!" She declares in her exclamation.

Aoi made her puzzling smile at Shijima. "Mei, you don't need to visit your friend's' house over pancakes." She reminded.

Shijima glanced at Aoi. "That's just because I can't cook, Aoi." She reasoned.

Yashiro and Aoi sat back down on their seats.

Yashiro was pleased at Sakura. "Of course, working in the sweet shop and cafe is better than nothing." She remarked.

Sakura nodded her head once at Yashiro. "This is true, Nene." She said.

The two waitresses brought over the four girls' orders on their round trays.

The first waitress pulled out one dessert from the tray. "A short stack of pancakes?" She asked.

Shijima raised her right hand. "That's my order, thank you." She answered.

The first waitress placed Shijima's plate in front of the brown-haired girl.

The second waitress pulls out one dessert from the tray. "A slice of raspberry pie?" She wondered.

Aoi raises her left hand. "Here! Thank you!" She replied in her exclamation.

The second waitress places Aoi's plate in front of the girl with purple eyes.

The first waitress brings out another dessert from the tray. "A three-pieces of strawberry-filled rice cakes?" She asks.

Yashiro raised her left hand, grinning of herself. "I ordered the strawberry rice cakes. Thank you for asking." She answers.

The first waitress placed Yashiro's place in front of the cream-colored hair with teal tips girl.

And then, the second waitress brought out the last dessert from the tray. "A small half-dozen of rakugan?" She wonders (some candy I guess. Look it up).

Sakura raises her right hand. "That order is for me, thank you." She replies.

The second waitress places Sakura's place in front of the girl with lime-green hair.

The two waitresses bows to them and says, "Enjoy."

And then, they left the table to continue their job duties.

The four girls closes their eyes and said, "Thank you for the sweets."

Shijima ate her pancakes heartily with her fork.

Aoi indulges her bite of raspberry pie slice with her fork.

Yashiro chomps on the top of her rice cake, savoring her favorite fruit.

And then, Sakura picks up a piece of rakugan. She put it in her mouth, tasting it gradually.

They are having a fun time at the Ginkgo Sweet Shop and Cafe.

After their treats, Sakura paid the check.

It is indeed Nanamine Sakura's treat for the girls' hang-out.

Before they know anything of their day, the weekend has been almost over.

Monday is near.
