Today is Monday , it's been one week exactly since I escaped from the estate . It is also Calvin's first day back to work , I'll be left alone with acid for the first time all week . Today will be the first day of my new schedule, Cal bought a white board schedule that we hung downstairs in the kitchen so I could always know for the most point where he was .
In the past week I have learned many new things , now I get myself dressed all by myself. I still struggle with picking out outfits , just too many options so Calvin helps me by picking my outfit each day . Surprisingly he has good taste in outfits, I think the girls secretly gave him tips . I also brush my teeth and do some makeup, I'm still learning but there's these videos on the iPad that show you step by step . Super easy !
Unfortunately I can't do my hair , my scalp is to sensitive and I get to frustrated easily. Thankfully Calvin had taken well to the lesson Naomi gave him and the videos on the iPad . Calvin then began teaching me how to cook , first we started with the microwave. I picked that one up quickly, my only problem was remembering how long to cook something.
So acid made me a laminated sheet of microwave times , later on in the week he did the same for oven times and temperature. The oven was difficult, I accidentally burned one of my fingers. Cal freaked out a bit , but doc said I was fine after put some ointment on it . Oh yeah I met doc, he's nice apparently he was a medic in the military.
Anyways the hardest thing is learning how to cook different meals on the stove , oh I also learned how to cut up things . I also learned knife safety , Calvin was big on that one . He started off by teaching me how to make grilled cheese , i perfected it by day three!
Now I know how to make grilled cheese, Mac and cheese from the box , eggs , pancakes, chicken stir fry , spaghetti , lasagna, and baked ziti . Each day Calvin teaches me a new meal and I love it , it's so fun. I wish I could show Nashie how well I'm doing I know he would be proud .I miss my friends from the estate .
Oh and my favorite thing to do is baking, it's easy for me cause all I have to do is read the instructions step by step or watch the videos on the iPad . Acid even said I'm a great baker and begged me to make him red velvet cupcakes. Unfortunately Cal banned me from making brownies every day , cause apparently eating a whole tray of brownies myself is unhealthy and will hurt my tummy .
Voodoo , who's the treasurer of the club is great with numbers and money so he's been teaching me all about it . He comes over for an hour each day to give me a lesson . I'm still struggling with understanding money in general and that ten , five dollar bills is less money than two , fifty dollar bills . It makes no sense , if there was more of the bills shouldn't it mean more money ?
Oh and acid said he's gonna try to reach me how to drive while we're alone , I'm nervous about it but I really want to learn . In the past week I have also gotten very good at using my phone and iPad . I also love tv , my favorite show is Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey . I just finished season three , I love Gordon Ramsey he's so funny but he certainly says a lot of naughty words .
