I've been waiting what feels like years for the results of my midwifery certification exam, but it's honestly only been three weeks. In my defense it's been a long three weeks. I've tried to keep busy to stop my brain from constantly thinking about it but it's practically impossible .
I've been working with Helen a whole bunch , I don't get paid because obviously I'm still an apprentice but I don't need the money anyway. I have also been planning Ashley and Brute's gender reveal party for their twins. I'm so excited to find out the gender of the twins.
Just two days ago Helen did an ultrasound to find out the gender since I still wanted to be surprised too. Helen wrote down the gender of each twin on an index card and then sealed it in an envelope. I met with Pyro who deals with explosives for the Souls.
Pyro and I came up with a very cool way to reveal the gender. Using a TNT box filled with either blue or pink powder Ashley and Brute will each push down a trigger on one of the two boxes at the same time. Eek it's gonna be so cool!
I've also been watching baby Nico a few times a week as Naomi is back to work at her salon. I been loving spending so much time with Nico , he's such a sweet and happy baby. I love watching Calvin interact with him too , it just makes my heart feel so warm and fuzzy. I just know my kids will have such an amazing dad , unlike I did.
It's not often that I think of Allister Quinn. But a few days ago I realized I have forgiven him. Not for him but for myself , he was a broken man who harmed me and people I cared about but without him I would be here . Here meaning existing and here meaning with my husband and my chosen family.
I would go through all that pain and trauma just to get here again and again. I love the life I'm living . I love my husband, I love my sisters / friends , I love my brothers and I love my friends. But more importantly I love myself. I love the me I've become .
Enough of these serious thoughts , I'm currently directing the prospects as they setup the party. The party will be happening in the late afternoon which is only three hours away from now. The guys just finished setting up the large tent, and now they are setting up the heaters since it's mid- February.
